how do i get a hold of creditors when i have no idea who they are? how would i find that information?

My company is Being hassled by NAFS for debt that is not mine. Just the brief time I spent on the phone with them indicated that their info. is not correct. As a matter of fact, they did not even know my name - they actually asked for my attorney who set up my LLC - which I'm sure they got from public records. There are other companies in the USA with the same name but not the same location or the same catagory (i.e. LLC, INC. etc). I have checked all three of my credit reports and there is NOTHING on any of them idicating strange activity.

I just closed my bank account last week and am now in the process of speaking to my PDL companies and making payment arrangements. I just got off the phone with Zip19 and they want their payment of 800 dollars sent to them immediately. They were extremely rude and I am now sitting at my desk in tears. What do I do next? They told me they would be calling my HR office. Please help.

Did you have the money upfront to settle or did you save it monthly?

I got calls from these people. No doubt about a payday loan that is already paid ( in my eyes ). I sent DV letter, certified mail. return receipt. They did not accept the letter. The local post office has left notices. What do you do in this situation ?

Ive received two phone calls within 24hrs of some company called Money Line. They said I received a loan of $200 back in June 2007. Now I owe them $425. I told them I would only pay back what i took and not all these ridiculous finance charges. Then I asked them why now almost 3 yrs they decide to start calling and they say they just decided to settle it. I ask why hasnt it showed up on my credit report since 2007 and they said they dont want to go that route and if they did report other things would happen to me also. I asked what things and they couldnt answer my question.

Just wanted to post my story as a motivational (and brag) post: I am officially finished with my settlement adventure. I settled with 5 different creditors: AmEx, Chase, Advanta, Discover, and BofA. If you search, you will find several posts of mine dealing with each of these different settlements, but in total, I settled $61,500 of debt for $21,800 (35%). I did this on my own - there is absolutely no reason whatsoever to use a third party debt settlement group. If you have any questions, ask away.

Hello: After speaking with the TX Office of Consumer Credit in Austin, I am more confused as to my rights than ever. I was told that I will not find a license verification on their website for online payday loans. She did explain about the CSO concept, etc... That I understand. Here are my questions: a. Just how do I truly determine whether each of my online payday loans are legal? b. If the account is sold to a third party collection agency, then what are my rights pertaining to repayment? c.

I live in Louisiana, I have a collection agency by the name Global Check & Credit Services calling me saying that I owe them for two online payday loans I have done. I do owe one of them but the other one I did not do. They claim that I took the loans out the same day. One of the is Summit (which I do owe). The other one is for Vince Enterprises. (did not take this one out). I did take another one out the same day with Titan. I do not know what I should do. I do not know if this is a legitimate collection agency. I did request for them to send me a fax showing the info on loans.
