Hi all, I'm new to this forum and I have a situation here. Hopefully, I can get some advice. It's a long story since the modification started in june 2009. I'm living with my parents and they're the home owner where I support the mortgage. The modification started after I lost my job on March 2009 and my dad had his working hours reduced. We have about 250K mortgage with US Bank so I started calling US Bank in June and expressed my situation, so far we'd made payments on time, none behind.

Does a collection agency have to be licensed in Ohio to collect? If so where would I go to look up the collection agency?

I am a homeowner in florida. if I do not pay back the money..what is absoulutely the worse thing that can happen to me? is bankruptcy an option?

I was getting calls from a debt collector over a doctor's bill. When I send the debt validation letter to the collection agency they didn't respond to it. But they have also stopped all collection activities. Now, I know that I owe this debt, I was just wondering how I can settle this account since the CA is no longer into the picture.

i paid off the credit collections that i had and i sent in a dispute with experian that they wernt took off the amount and now it has kd on them is there a way i can take them off and my credit go up or they stay on even if i paid them off in full thanks for youre info.
