I received a letter from them a few days ago,about an 5yr old credit card,$900 now about $1200.I searched their name & ended up here.I sent them a validation letter,certified mail.Reading about the suits,summons & frozen bank accounts has me scared to death.I am disabled,my income is Social Security only,I own a 9yr old vehicle only.Any advice? what is my next move? Hi! I have a question? Over the past year, I have disputed an item on my CR's. I disputed the item with Transunion and Equifax through my free anual credit report. The item was deleted because it could not be validated and they took their 45 days. I just desputed the same account with Experian through myidentity. They only had 30 days. Well they can back in like 7-10 days and said they validated the account and it remains on my CR. Frustrated! This account is BS! How do I go about contacting Experian and re-opening the dispute. I don't want to do it online again.

I purchased a car for 14,000. and I've had the transmission replaced within the year-I only had it for a year yesterday. The car also has a large oil leak in which the motor is on it's way out. I had a repair shop that revealed that the car had (3) major recalls on it and I still owe $7,000-I want to do a voluntary surrender. How do I go about making this happen.

Hello all, I received a letter from Citi bank delivered by UPS and trying me to get in to the the payment plan. I owe about 26K and 100 days behind. I also spoke to them today and very nice lady offer the payment plan for 5 years. I do not have the set income and can not get in to any type of payment plan. I would like to settle but they are not offering yet. any advice?

have an old sears debt that i think is way past the 7 1/2 year reporting mark for the credit report. lvnv funding is the ca, and they are reporting to the cb that the debt was incurred in 2005 (which must be when they bought it from sears.) i'm in texas. the sol for sears suing for the debt is passed (6 yrs). no payments or agreements have been made since 2001. how do i get this off my credit report? i understand that the ca can continue collection attempts, but don't they have to drop it from my credit report?

does anyone know anything about fidelity corp in ft. lauderdale. they say they can reduce my second morgage and have it paid in 18 months instead of 18 years.

We were on a debt management program from Oct-Jan of this year and I realized I could not make the $2000/mo payments. When they originally negotiated with my creditors, do they disclose all income and debt info that I gave them? Will this hurt my chances of settlement now? We have been slammed with numerous financial hits in the last month and will be sending in $1300 to Uncle Sam in April so we can't get back on our feet without some help. BofA was only willing to lower my payments from $500 to $430/mo which really will not help. Any advice would be appreciated!:confused:

My credit report is such a huge headache...I currently have a current student loand and car payment on there (no delinquency)...but I also have 4 aging collection accounts all several years old. I don't have any credit cards, and i know i need one...but I'm nervous because getting the car loan was not easy.
