I have a legal storefront payday loan with USA Cash in AZ that I defaulted on in December 08. I had modest payment arrangements set up with the store of $25 every two weeks. They acceted these payments for 8 weeks then escalated me to an outside collection agency. The initial correspondence from the collection agency did not seem to reflect the modest payments I had been making so I sent a letter requesting validation of the debt, with a 30 day response time. They never responded.

How much would it cost to file ch 7 bankruptcy in Illinois?

I have piled up almost $65 in cc debt which I no longer can pay. I'm still current on my cards but considering filing bankruptcy to get rid of it once and for all. What do I have to do before I file bk? Would I have to stop paying on these cards? Can I continue using them even if I don't pay? Thanks in advance for your suggestions!

We had been amassing large amounts of credit card debt - scratch that I amassed them, ever since the gas prices shot up in 2008 as well as groceries. While we had balances beforehand and I did use my cards it was nothing I "couldn't handle". Unfortunately as can be expected it has all spiraled out of control. The banks thanked me for always paying them on time to jacking me to 24-29% interest rates and one wanted an increase in a minimum payment from 2% to 5%.

What would you do if you had sent out 2 requests for debt validation, but still received no response? There are no negative marks made on the three CRA's yet from two collection agencies, but there are negative marks on the three CRA's from the original creditors. Now what? Anyone, ideas?

I am $42,000 in debt and want to be debt free. I have a combination of payday loans and regular loans, I need help and lots of prayers. I need help in working out a good plan and being able to feel good about my finasncial situation again.

Does anyone have an opinion on a good CU they can recommend that they like and have had good experiences with. We are just beginning debt settlement on our own and I want to open an account to put our savings in to pay the creditors when it comes to settling. I need to do this before our great credit turns bad. Just looking for good recommendations. Thx. (live in Utah)
