External finance debt finance and internal debt finance - can someone tell their difference

Strange question but, I have had a CA calling me (about a cap 1 cc) work, cell and leaving me messages to return there calls for the past six or eight weeks. I have not answered or returned a call yet. I received my first and only ( so far) letter from them about three weeks ago. I have not responded to them yet, but for some reason the calls have all but stopped.Should I be expecting a letter soon with there intent to sue? I have been trying learn as much as I can and figure out what to do , that's the reason I have not talked to the CA yet. Thanks, M in N.C.

I have received a letter along with calls from pinnacle credit demanding me to pay a large amount I supposedly owe from circuit city from back in 1999. I don't recall ever purchasing anything from them so I have asked them to show me proof of what was purchased? Also Circuit City went out of business few years back am I liable still? Do they legally have to show me proof of what was purchased because I honestly don't believe it was me???

What is the best way to proceed with an attorney who bought an old debt within the SOL time and is demanding payment in full. The original amount owed was $1480 but they are demanding $2990 and threatening a lawsuit. Trying to talk with them is impossible. Rude, rude, rude! I don't dispute the original debt, just the horrendous interest and late fees tacked on! Thank you in advance for your suggestions.

I am considering Debt Settlement and there is so much information on this website that I need to cut to the chase. I see that there are a number of approved Debt Relief Companies, Vendors, Consultants, etc. Has anyone actually worked with any of these approved companies? Is anyone willing to provide me with a solid recomendation on who to work with, or at least talk to regarding dealing with my credit card debt and student loan?

There is a link on Facebook about the "2010 CA Debt Assitance Program" which expires 03/01/10. I can find nothing about it online. Has anyone heard of this?

Does anybody know of a reputable PDL loan consolidation company that handles KY residents? I contacted Town & Country & they told me that they do not handle Ky clients. I also contacted Langhorne & they told me that they ONLY handle online PDL's. HELP!! I have multiple PDL's - a mix of storefront & online (yes, I know they are illegal here). This is literally destroying my life & I really want to work with one of these companies so I will not have to deal directly with these thieves anymore. I have spoken with all my storefronts & they tell me that they do not have any kind of EPP.
