I have posted a couple times about ARM of Fl. My guestion is ARM legally allowed to collect in the state of KY? If not what can they legally do about the illegal payday loan? They don't want to listen to what I have already paid. I am fixing to send the KY DFI a letter about this company, what should I say in it? hi i just checked my credit report and saw an entry in the status that says: "written off" purchased by another lender.. now i think i know what the original creditor is. it used to be providian which got absorbed into Wamu and now its Chase?(correct me if im wrong). under account history: "charge off as of dec 2005 to jun 2006. although the 30 days past due was as of feb 2005, jul 2004. my question is, with california's SOL, did they write me off as will not attempt to collect debt on me? if i dont do nothing, will this eventually be off my credit report? what should i do?

I moved out of my parents house around 4 years ago. When I opened the card, I still lived there and I put down that phone number. Now that I am moved out, I only have a cell phone and they have that number. Is there a way I can get them to stop calling my parents and harassing them?

We filed and finished the Chapter 7 BK process last August. We are trying to modify our Wells Fargo first mortgage right now. Our second mortgage is through Ditech and hasn't been paid since we filed BK last April. Our first mortgage is only about $75K right now and our second is about $65K. If we tried to sell our house they would list it for about $135K which is enough to pay the first, but not the second. My question is, would they still have to short sell if the first would be paid after selling? Would the second have to agree to get nothing?

Basically I have to file a form 982 to prove my insolvency. I had a cancellation of debt in the amount of $5534 Total Assets of $3930 Total Liabilities of $11149 Resulting in Insolvency of $7219 Now from what I understand (or dont understand) I only have to check 1b on the 982 (cancellation was a car loan) fill out lines 2 and 10a What amounts do I put in line 2 and 10a?? PLEASE help me!!

Hi! I have a private student loan through American Education Service that has been in default for a bout a year. I have 3 good standing loan with A.E.S, however this one has defaulted. I was told by American Education Services that this loan was charged off and is now under T.E.R.I., however when I talked to them they say it is now with the collection agency...MRS Associates. I have looked them up and have found HORRIBLE reviews about their collection tactics etc. My question is has anyone here heard of them or dealt with them?

I have a payday loan with an illegal lender. I have read in your forums that they cannot charge me the interest if it is more than the original debt. I have borrowed from this lender about 30 times, I ususally borrowed 1500 and paid back 1900 for a two week loan. In total I have paid about 12000 in interest, however, I'm not sure how this works since each loan is a different loan. I can't pay anything right now, but I'm hoping they will work out an agreement. What should I do?
