Approximately 3 years ago I was on unemployment and I waived the option to have federal taxes taken out. Afterwards, I began receving letters from the IRS saying I owe $500. In 2009 my tax return was only for $400 so I plan to wait a year so I could file two W2 form at the same time which should of put me in the green. However, I went online to file my taxes and now they're saying I owe $1100, and with both W2's(2009 and 2010) came up to $800............... How did a debt for $500 turn into $1100.

In November I lost my job and committed kiteing,(which is writing a bad check to self). The check was for $500.00, due to bank fees now I owe almost $700.00. Now IC systems call me everyday. However, I was wondering if I can randomly mail money order and keep the recipts for proof/evidence. Anyone has advice on this matter at hand.

I am a 22 year old college student that just started foucsing on my credit. My father committed fraud by using my SSN, yea poor lillte me a victim of fraud. However, I am cleaning up the conflict by disputing them and providing all information I can to prove it wasnt me. Futhermore, what are some small things I can do while in college to up my credit score, so that I can get low interest rate on a home and car when I graduate.

I have a citi card with 2900 in debt, my payments are about 100 a month, but my apr is almost 29 percent! I did the math and only about 20 dollars our of every payment is going to the balance. How can I settle this?

I have been contacted by up front payday and instant loans now(I think it's the same company - I might be wrong). I asked for a address from both companies, they both denied me. I then asked for an email of what I really owe them and what I've paid them, once again denied. I live in KY, so I know they are both illegal. What should I do in this circumstance? I have four credit cards with over $43,000 in balances. Three are from Chase and one from Citibank. I own a house and have a reserve fund but it is about 15K. I am done with Credit Cards and would like to just settle my debt with them and live like normal people (within my means). What is the first step, second step and what am I supposed to do over the next few months? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi everyone, Just got of the phone with them, and opened an acct. The only thing is they wont let you have the "free" acct at first, its 7.95 a month, and you have to open a savings acct and deposit min $25 each month. For me thats a no-brainer. Or maintain a 500.00 bal. Either way, its a good deal. i think if it goes below, or no monthly sweep, there is like...a $4.00 service fee. They operate in AL, FL, TX, AZ, CO and NM.
