ABC Payday loan is threatening to garnish my wages.

16 years 1 month ago
ABC Payday Loan called me today and said they have submitted wage garnishment papers to my HR department for the amount of $495.00. I originally took out $300.00 and paid back $450.00 in finance charges. Can they do this? They also emailed me and I responded back that I thought this loan has been more than paid off. I live in PA. I posted this message in a thread I originally posted last month so if you see it twice I apologize.

Staggering settlements

16 years 1 month ago
I stopped paying 9 cards 7 months ago and as of today have settled 5. The other 4 will either be charged off or settled by the end of this month. The difficult part for me is coming up with all the settlement cash. If I had to do it over again, I would have staggerd the non payments over several months. This way it would be easier to accumulate settlement cash. Just my opinion for those of you just starting the process.

Advice?

16 years 1 month ago
Hey there-- I started a business with a partner who convinced me to take out credit cards in the name of the business, telling me that I would not be responsible for any of the debt as they are business cards, and further telling me that he would personally pay them off. Needless to say, the debt is squarely in my name, and he is not paying anything. I was young and stupid and trusting, but the damage is already done, and now $30,000 is in collection (with Collect Corp.--I don't even answer the phone anymore), with another $45,000 on "hardship plans".

The New Friendlier Bank of America

Last week I had a charge come through on my debit card from gas I bought a couple days prior! It put my account .23 in the negative. I knew I had a small charge I just made of around 3.00. That should total 70.00 in NSF fees! I made a deposit the next day and there were no charges. I waited a couple days and still no charges! I called and asked why? The answer was "We can't borrow money from the tax payers without giving back!

I have paid loans off with ameiloan and us fast cash, both well over 3 times the amount I borrowed.

Need Help Please

I am obviously here because I am in a horrible cycle that I just can't get out of. I am super frustrated with myself for getting myself into this mess, but I need to get out of it! I had a car accident in August and had to pay my deductible and I thought that I could handle having one payday loan, but really it turned into 4 and now I am swamped. Here is my information. These are all online payday loans and I live in Iowa. 1. Loan Point-$300 loan, have payed $90 2. US Fast Cash-$200 loan, have payed $120 3. Pay Day Wiz $400 loan, have payed $600 4.

I am current, but I want to settle..

16 years 1 month ago
I have a question. I am sick of the crippling bleed on my income from my credit card debt. I'd like to try negotiating settlements. I honestly don't give a rats tuckus bout my credit score in the short term, so I don't mind getting digned. I'd rather have crappy credit and be debt free than be current with enormous balances (which probably is ruining my credit anyway). Anyhow...where do I begin? Do I have to literally just STOP paying my credit card bills for a few months?
