I began lurking here about 9 months ago when we decided we either needed to file for a bk or find a way to get out from under all our credit card debt. Following the advice of many here and reading comments we cautiously moved forward with a law firm. We are now a little over seven months into our program and yesterday we accepted our very first settlement for one payment of just $3500.00. We are SO excited to see that happen! Our savings from just that one settlement equals our fees and what the monthly maint fee will amount to.

Hello I took out an internet payday loan from goodtimescash.com on 12/3/08 for $300.00. I was a resident of Texas at the time. Goodtimescash deducted two payments of $90.00 from my checking account before I closed the account. They have now put on my credit report a charge off of $480.00. The creditor is Quasar Corporate Services out of Logan, UT. Ive called Security Check, LLC which is now known as Payliance.

Can they find out your checking account information if you send them a money order from your own bank?

Got a letter from an attorney general. Ameriloan has zeroed out my account and marked it PIF. Matter closed. Good riddance. Three down, 4 more to go.:D

I take full blame for the position I am in, but I want to be smart about how I approach fixing my situation. I am current on all of my bills as of right now, but will not be able to sustain that for much longer.

Has anyone had any experience with this company? Back last September my wife was diagnosed with cancer and had to stop working. With this loss of income I knew that we would not be able to cope with our credit card debt and our usual monthly bills (mortgage, and utilities, etc.) So I contacted them for assistance. At the time ALL my credit card payments were up to date! They told me to stop paying the creditors and that they would contact them to take over my debts, reduce my monthly payment to 1/2 of what it was and have me debt free in 4 years.

A creditor recently filed suit on me and we put a payment arrangement in to settle the account. The creditor entered this as an "agreed judgement" to the lawsuit and this judgement has now shown up on my credit report. After I am finished making the payments, do I have any course of action to get the judgement vacated or at least removed from my credit report? If I cannot, does the presence of that judgement basically impact my credit score as badly as a bankruptcy would?
