I was getting a bit nervous it being the start of a new year and all, But Boa/Fia called me today and offered 30% on 21000 cc debt (hooray!). Their previous offer was 8000$. I told them that it would be very dificult to do, But I could possibly do it in payments. She was VERY nice, put me on hold for a brief moment, and told me that we should wait a few days to seal the deal. They will call me by Friday.

This wasn't much help. This is how the company responded to the BBB Complaint. "Emergent Funding is not a payday loan company. We are licensed in the State of Missouri as an installment loan company. Msxxxxx signed electronic disclosures, stating that she agreed this transaction occurred in the State of Missouri and would abide by the laws of installment loan lenders in the State of Missouri (Adobe copy attached).

And it is a relief. I owed about $11k and settled for 30%. I didn't expect to settle this one, because they had given me the most grief up to this point, even after charge-off. But I called up, offered something around 27% and they quickly countered at 30% and I accepted. They faxed me the settlement letter, and I paid via phone/check. That makes four down, two more to go. So far $90k settled at an average of 25% (although heavily weighted by the settlement of my HELOC loan which was below 20%). I'll circle back to Wells and Citi later this month.

I am trying to negotiate the removal of a old debt; here is what I'm planning on doing, will this get me the result I'm looking for? Collection Account Details: Amount: $116 Status: Past Due/Delinquent I have contacted the OC and have worked out to pay them the full amount and in return they will report it as "paid as agreed". The part that has me worried is the CA is the one reporting this on my credit, NOT the OC. So my question is what will happen to the entry on my credit as reported by the CA? Will it be removed/updated to "paid as agreed" or will I need to deal with them separately?

Can they do this?? Is it possible for me to request to work with the original comapny?? I have a old hospital bill that they trasnfered to Franklin for collection.

I got a response from a lending who indicated they can't accept payment by mail. But would accept by Moneygram, Paypal, or credit card. I am considering Paypal, do you think this is a save obtion? That they would be able to get my new bank information this way? What about Moneygram would that be safer? Thanks!

I have 9 payday loans all are now going into default, I closed by bank account, Now I want to pay on them I just can not afford alot with having 9 of them, PLEASE Help me they are all store front,I am getting sick with worry, Now they are calling my relatives and me at work I could loose my job if they dont stop.

Me and my xwife got a credit card a few months before we split up. 4years ago we setteled all our property and she was going to take care of it. But the court documents do not go into detail of who took what loan. She went bank rupt they came after me for payment. It bounced around collection agencys till one of them took me to court and got a judgement aginst me back in July. I'm barley maken enough to eat after paying childsusport and rent and electric. I need to respond to tge law firms letters but don't know what to do.

has anyone ever have any dealings with carmax? i am keeping my car and i want to do a ride-thru i live in ct.
