Hello all. I currently have 6 pay day loans out at the following companies: Ace Cash Express, Lending Booth, Advance America, Check N Go, Cashland, and Checksmart. Could someone let me know if these are all licensed in my state? I initially took a couple loans to pay for Christmas gifts for my kids. It has turned into a nightmare for me now. Im on Social Security and disability. My husband has left me and am down to one income now. The companies have over charged my bank account into the amount of -$2100. After finding this site I have closed my bank account.

I currently have an outstanding balance with Citi Cards of $5482.40. The account has been closed for a while now as I of course did not keep up with timely payments, and I am glad it is closed. It has probably been out 9 months now, where I actually worked out a lower minimum payment plan. That has been going well, as in all the payments have been made, but it is still killing me. I recently did my first settlement with HSBC.

Hi - I followed SoapLady's advice and emailed them that they are illegal in the state of CT, that I have paid them all I owe them and that I would not pay anymore. That was 6 months ago and I haven't heard anything from them until today, when an agency called Nationwide based out of CA said that they were delivering documents to me accusing me of bank fraud and other charges. Has anyone else dealt with this? How was it handled? Thanks!

There is a call I keep receiving on job from this company. I've tried looking up name and phone, but nothing comes back. They claim that I filed a police report for an unauthorized transaction on my account (BofA). That account has been closed for about two years now and I never filed a police report. They stated they called the Los Angeles Police Department to obtain a copy of this report and they told them there was no report.

Ok so I have gotten PIF's or made arrangements on my terms with all my pdls (with exception of WS/CC but working with state AG on that). The only one I've never heard from us Cash-Installment. I paid my principal and sent the c&d/ach letter via email and fax on 4/22/2013. I sent them an email almost everyday. They complied with my ach and told them in the c&d they could contact me with USPS or email. I've received nothing and my balance keeps going up. What should I do next?

I received a judgment from my country sheriff for a Discover account in Nov 2011. In March 2012 I filed bankruptcy and the bankruptcy has since been discharged (July 2012). The problem is we’re giving the house back to the bank and this judgment is showing on title. How can we get this off title? I reached out to the bankruptcy attorney and of course, she was not helpful.

I had a number of payday loans that I sent a letter to, per the fine help of this forum. 3 of the loans were illegal in my state (Texas). One of those (Flash Cash) came back and said they would waive some interest, but not all. I responded that I would pay principal only. They never responded back. CashWeb USA never responded to 2 emails. I owe them about $300 in principal. I've asked them how to pay this and gotten no response. Golden Valley never responded, but I had already overpaid the principal. What do I do about these illegal lenders who are not communicating with me?

I have received replies from all of my loan lenders except 1...United Holdings/ Midland. Its a $300.00 loan, and I have paid back $810.00. I have emailed them 4 times with ACH revocation, today they tried to put the $90.00 payment through again plus a $30.00 fee, because last Friday the payment was returned by my bank, I closed the account. These people are nuts, and won't reply..Has anyone had experience with them before?

I am in the state of Florida and I opened a loan for $400 from Western Sky (Which was turned over to Cash Call) in December 2010. I *struggling* paid off the loan and ended up paying around $950. Is there any way into getting them to refund my money even though I paid it and it's been about a year and a half? Is it a lost cause now ? I hate that I paid twice as much as I owed! I knew something was fishy but I just came across this issue recently. My last payment to them was 6/17/2011
