Hi there! I have a small line of credit (had) through Capital One. It was a $500 limit. I ran into some health issues and had to take a considerable time off of work. It has been several months (mid-summer) since I last made a payment on this card, and, of course, the account has racked up a considerable amount of interest and late fees. I recently sent a letter to try to get this situation worked out, and apparently Capital One has since turned the account over to NCO for collections. I've never dealt with anything like this before, and I'm sick to my stomach scared out of my mind.

Hello everyone, and Soaplady. I can call the real estate board in the state where I am licensed, but I want some feedback from anyone that has had any experience on this. I owe about $95,000 in PRIVATE student loan money. Currently my loans are all in forebarence BUT, very soon, they will be coming out. Once this happens, I will have used up all my forebarence and deferrment options. I do have a real estate license and have been able to actually make some money doing this.

does this really work? I am still in school but I am having to repay student loans already!

Does anyone have an address for star cash processing. i got my bk discharge letter and it said that star cash processing could still come after me for the debt because they did not have a legitimate address. i called them but whenever i asked for the physical address they either put me on hold for 30 minutes(yes i timed it) or hung up on me straight out or transfered me all around until i got frustrated and hung up.

I saw your post regarding Pay Day Loan not being legal to lend in the state of KY. I'm in KY had a loan with them and they weren't willing to provide me with terms that were affordable. How did you find out that they were illegal in KY? Do you have any information about First Bank of Delaware or Think Cash. Somehow PayDay One and Think Cash were affiliated with one another through First Bank of Delaware....any help is appreciated.

Hi everyone in Debt Consolidation land! I thought I would start a new thread to see what kind of percentages you all are getting on settlement deals with BOA. I have about $28-30000 I am trying to settle with them. I am at the 120 day point and will be 150 days within the next month. They are willing to negotiate so far but haven't been able to get them where I want to go.....somewhere around 22% of the total. So I need to know from all of you if that is feasible with BOA....has anyone actually been getting deals that good or should I not even bother to set my percentage that low?

Well, just made our second settlement. We'd received a call from Elan a few weeks ago. The rep was very nice and suggested we made an offer.

Hello, I sent a debt validation letter to LVNV Funding LLC, and received a letter from Resurgent Capital Services stating that "this account has been placed with Resurgent Capital Services." They responded with insufficient proof (a typed statement) of the debt.
