Mann Bracken sent a letter for intent to sue for AMEX card, interesting that I am making payments and Amex is accepting them. Can they sue when im making payments to the original creditor?

I followed advice from this website, sent them a letter asking them not to call me and to send me something in writing...I got a letter emailed to me today asking me to pay the principal balance only in 5 equal payments due by March 2010. They provided me with a physical address in Canada to send the payments to as well as codes and information to send it via Money Gram or Western Union. Question is, Do I pay them now that they have done this and are willing to just take the prinicpal balance? They are in Canada...seems a little odd.

I just found out that 500 fast cash and US fast cash have orders of desist and refrain what does that mean because i have a loan with them that is in default:rolleyes:

Does anyone have any recent stories to share on trying to settle with AE?

Need some advice on how to handle Payday One. I have a payment coming due on Tuesday which I cannot afford. I called in today to try to work out a payment arrangement. she said there was nothing they can do. My only option was to make the payment due on Tuesday. I'm in Ohio and I think they are a legal lender, but they are operating as CSO. Any advice?

I recently got a call from a berstein, shapiro and associates about a pdl I had a few years ago from an ACE storefront. ANyway, I have been getting these and finally answered to see what it was about. I talked to someone and like most of the people I read about, I was willing to pay my debt. They said it was 350, I believe it to be close to that. They offer to settle for this before any other fees including court costs would take effect. I was leery of getting out my info over the phone and I gave my email to them to forward a letter about the plan they would agree to.

Below is what Unitedcashloans responded back to the BBB, I responded back telling them they had the false assumtions since they know they are illegal in California, due to the fact that they are currently going through a court hearing. Dont know how I should follow up now. Please help... This was in your agreement, emailEd to you 2 times before funds were in your account, DID YOU BOTHER TO READ? We suspect not, if you did read it, WHY DID YOU NOT RETURN OUR FUNDS WITHIN 48 HOURS AND NO FEE WOULD HAVE BEEN ASSESSED?

Just received two calls in a row. First from a very rude woman who babbled on about wage garnishments, etc. I told her she wasn't allowed to call me and hung up. Minutes later I got a call back from a total A***hole who said his name was Sammy Wilson. He asked me if I was the receptionist at my job. Then he asked for my supervisor. I told him he was not allowed to call me as I had sent a Do Not Call letter and he said he didn't get anything. I told him I would not speak to him and he said he would just keep calling back until he got my work address and spoke to my supervisor.
