If American General has sold my account to a collection agency, are they required to show this account with a $0 balance and transferred to a another lender? If so, should I send them a letter stating the fact. Any case law with this issue would be helpful. ASAP

Here is my situation. I have not found a similar answer on the forums yet. I have entered into a special repayment program with several BOA cards we have. It is about $28,000. The program lasts for 60 months and is like 1-2 percent of the balance each month. I can afford these payments now and entered into the program because I am on unemployment and can do it now. However, once unemployment runs out for me sometime next spring, I am going to have to suspend these payments if I don't have a job by then.

I have an outstanding credit card debt that I was paying minimum payments on until I could no longer afford to do so. I was sent to collections, and I tried negotiating payments I could afford, but they wouldn't accept my offer. They sent a notice of judgment to my apartment and delivered it to my roommate, and I didn't find out about it until I received a letter saying there was a notice of entry of judgment. I don't know what this exactly means, and what steps I can take now to make sure they don't start garnishing my wages or anything. Help Please!!

I have defaulted on my car loan and hence expecting it to get repoed by the lender soon. It was a dealer financed car. I'm sure that the car wouldn't fetch the amount what I have paid for it. I have a very close friend of mine (an ex girlfriend of several years) who has recently got into some very serious trouble with pay day loans. She has 13 pay day loans out, as well 3 with personal finance companies (totaling $2,000). I'm thinking chapter seven is the way to go, but I'm not sure about how to handle all of these creditors about to withdraw a huge amount of funds from her bank account.
