I wrote a cease and desist ceritified letter along with a letter to revoke a wage assignment to a PLS creditor and my employer several months ago. Now the original PLS store has turned over the debt to their collection service department at another location. They called my boss and the caller identified themself as a lawyer.. and followed with another wage assignment request .. which they faxed. do I need to repeat my previous actions?

OK so after taking a loan on my title for 2000.00 about 2 years ago in Arizona I finally cant afford to pay any more. I have probably paid 10,000.00 to this day if not more but unfortunately it has only covered the interest and not knocked down my balance. I have never been able to pay more other then a few times to knock it down and now I am at the point where its a place to live or a car. Is there any way out of this or do I keep trying to pay the interest and hope one day I have extra cash to pay it off? This was a BIG lesson in life that I will never do again!

Back on 11/25 my MIL called me and said that she recieved a phone call from a lady at IRG Assoc. and gave her a case number/reference number concerning a legal matter. I called the company at the number they left which was 202-556-2821 and spoke with the person who called. She said that I had an old payday loan from Advance America and they are demanding $690.15, unless they get the settlement amount of $400 they will go ahead and send the case to the clerk of court and charge me with a worthless check and malicious intent to defraud.

i have a card that has charged off (around 15k), but it appears they haven't sold the debt yet. currently they're making me deal with a collector who says he's a mediator. the collector offered a 50% settlement and threatened a lawsuit, but i can't afford any large payments. if they'd give me payment terms i could afford, i'd rather pay it off in full over time than have a settlement on my credit report for the next 7 years. the collector asked me to email him a proposal, so i did, asking for payments of $260/month to be paid over 60 months. this is a plan i can afford.

What happens if my bank account was closed by my bank before the check from the paycheck place was deposited so it was considered a bounced check? I live in Nebraska. I'm not too sure if my account was closed or not but I just wanted to know what would happen in case.

If I applied for a new mortgage,how much time will take to process my application

I need some information. I just received a garnishment summons today. Apparently a default judgement was entered against me back in August but this was not filed in the county in which I live so I'm not sure if this is legal or not. My question though is will they levy my bank account immediately or is it not until the date listed on the garnishment paper when the bank account is hit? I have a joint account and I don't want my partner's money affected by this.
