I was wondering if anyone's references from a PDL application has had problems opening a bank account or getting money from an account due to the fact that they were used as a reference on your PDL. I am in the process of trying to pay off a few loans from illegal lenders. I have already sent letters to them stopping my ACH withdrawals and telling them that I will only pay the original amount of the loan. This has stopped the withdrawals but I have yet to hear back from them about where I can send my payment to.

I took out some payday loans in December '08 and paid the principal back but had to close my bank account, b/c they kept withdrawing and on payday I would be left with -$500 in my account. Now, almost 2 yrs. later I'm getting calls from Global Check & Credit Solutions, Morgan & Associates and Solomon & Strauss. Morgan & Associates is a scam per the MD Financial Regulator's office The other two have threatened civil action suits and have had people call me saying they were stopping by my home the next day to serve me.

I got a collection letter from this agency in Washington.. And they are threatening me, yadda yadda yadda.. I am waiting for them to sue.. Because guess what!! According to the laws in MY state, you have to be a licensed collection agency to even contact any one and a surety bond of $25,000 is required!! In fact, I checked out the court rules in my county, found out a lot of neat stuff that I can easily get the collection agencies on. Why do so many of them act like jackasses? I mean, I have a legit debt, but they act so stupid, why do they risk owing US!!

I have been reading the thread and I have 10 payday loans. Yes I have gotten caught up in this cycle. I telephone them and tried to negotiate payment etc. and only one would let me do it, however, it is month by month. They may not let me every month. I read of all of the problems closing your bank account and I didn't really want to close it since my mom's account is hooked up to my checking account. Also, I did not want the PDL to start calling my references. I have not defaulted on them yet, but I really need some help.

I have a PDL reporting on my credit report. They have it listed twice, and the dollar amount is in accurate. I have disputed it with experian stating the balance is incorrect and multiple inaccuracies please verify all data. Should I have done it a different way. Also I have bank statements to prove what I say is true, what if the PDL lies about the amount owed. Can I still send these documents in.
