So, I just got a call from someone from DCS, although she didn't tell me that, she said she said she was calling about a program that I qualified for to start paying back my student loans. She wanted my income information, which I told her I had child support and that I was unemployed but actively looking for a job. All true, but I did leave out that I was married because my husband is not looking to pay my bills. Now, she talked so fast and said everything would work great and that my loan would be in good standing within 30-90 days.

So... I was sitting here, cleaning up the spam. Maybe I've seen one too many, and just kinda snapped. We may never know. I sent this to a spammer, totally on a lark. May not do any good. But I got a grin out of it. Oh well - Wulf

Being on a very tight budget I'm wondering what the pros and cons of hiring a paralegal would be to do a Chapter 7. I'm pretty sure I qualify for a 7, and am reasonably good at communicating and being organized as far as court appearance goes. also wonder what might a typical paralegal charge? Thanks

I sent off emails yesterday to 6 of the 7 PDLs I currently have. One of them sent me back "loan documents" dated for today, that basically gives me the option of paying the principal and fee (for a total of $260), or refinancing. I can't close my account until Friday because I'm overdrawn--and Friday is when my loans are supposed to refinance. All I can hope for is that I'll be able to close it before any unwanted debits are done. Also, I can't log into 3 of my PDL accounts. I get the message telling me to email compliance[at]sleazypdl.com (not the actual email, but you get the idea).

If you are car shopping how long do credit inquiries stay on your credit report? And I just don't understand why that is such a detriment. If you are shopping for a good rate isn't is expected that you may inquire with a few places in order to secure the best rate possible? Why do creditors think that's some kind of red flag?

I pulled my transunion credit report online and while I am in default with Cash Central they have me listed on there twice. I have heard before that people here have disputed this and gotten it off the credit report. Exactly how did people disputed. You have to give a reason does someone have any ideas. Thanks

I use a pdl company... but closed one account out. I emailed them to give them the new acct number and faxed a copy of the loan document with the new acct number- same bank to with the entire amount due The forwarded the amount to this collection agency.. I paid them in full for the amount which was due and interest and now they want 300$ more. The name of the company is Hushhawk.. does anyone know them and how do I handle. I called them today to tell them I gave them the new account number and I just got beriated which they are very good at doing and hung up on.. what should I do.?

I am being harassed by Michael, Brewers and Kane. They are a part of Tri-Financial a debt collector. They will not admit to it, bit I have researched it. I took out a payday loan with Payday loan yes. I was being paid monthly and verified the due date, several times with the rep. They placed the credit, waited until my paydate and made the first debit. They then began to debit weekly. I called and explained, they continued. This caused my accts to be closed and my name turned to check systems. I am now being harassed by debt collectors.

So I have been harassed to no end by ARM of Florida, over an internet pdl. I told them in the beginning that I would pay them the principal of the loan, but they want over $2000 now on a $300 loan due to fees, etc.
