Has anyone tried settling Bank of America recently? I have about 40k in 3 BoA cards, and 120 days past due now. I have been trying to reach an settlement deal..No luck so far. They simply said they cannot agree to any debt settlement, which makes me think that my loan might get sold to collection agency any time soon!!! Any advice would be appreciated!!

If an internet pdl is no legal and they turn you into collections, will it show on your credit report? I'm in Nevada and DJR said they turned me into collections, I've gotten one phone call from monarch resolutions, but so far nothing is showing on my credit report. I defaulted and closed my account in August.

I received a summons(I'm in Indiana). I'm not sure exactly what to write b/c the debt is mine. How do I respond? I'm in a position now where I can make montlhly payments. The debtor wanted $2100 down then would agree to monthly payments, but of coure I didnt have that! Can someone tell me what this response letter should say since I am willing to pay? Thank you, T

I got a call from 877-209-5454 saying they are filing a complaint in my county about a payday loan I supposedly took out 3 years ago. They had my SSN, address, employment info etc, and said if I don't call them with my checking acct number by tomorrow morning to set up $1000 in payments, a sherriff will serve me a summons at home or work. Are they really capable of filing with the court and all that?

I spoke with the firm today, and have agreed upon two payments (over phone). What should I look for in the letter? IE: Anything about the suit, being considered settled after second payment, etc? They saw that they are suing for Citi, but I thought that my case had gone into collections.. Should I go ahead and submit my discovery, anyway? Just so it won't go past the 30 days mark? Any help would be great!

It is a horrible idea, but my other options are worse. I don't have a job, even though I've been applying like crazy to places. I have no money but owe hundreds for two loans every month. Right now my boyfriend's paying it off (we live together, it's really no different than a husband paying off things for his wife, just no marriage certificate). I would really like to get a loan to cover both of my existing loans. One is private, and one is a public Stafford loan. anyone know how i go about this? I've tried googling it...but i can't really find what im looking for.

I have on payday store front loan that I owe on. I owe roughly 1300. Do you think they'll set up payment arrangments? I dont think we could pay much more than 100.00 a month though My husband was laid off, this is why we were not able to pay the loan off - now we are playing catch up on all the other bills. The loan is I think is an instalement loan... Any suggestions would be great.

For the last 2 weeks - ever since GEMB had Encore calling me (and now Allied Interstate for this past week) I have been receiving many, many unsolicited calls from some local businesses, as well as a phony offer for a great deal. In other threads, I have detailed that they are calling my sister looking for me, and I have DV'd both companies. I sent my CMRR DV to Allied Interstate yesterday. My number is unlisted and I am registered on the Do Not Call list. I am now getting lots of calls from Prudential Life Insurance about an online request for a quote that I never made.
