If a lien is placed onyou by the IRS and you do not pay them or let them know that you are currently working, can you go to jail?- If they find out?

I am married and my huswband owns a house. We do not share the credit cards that I want to settle with. Will debt settlement effect my spouse.

I received a letter from my car loan company that stated the following: "we will charge off your entire balance and report our action to the appropriate credit bureaus. We will not release your title until you pay all you owe."

Like the writer above:I am drowning in payday loan debt. It started out small. I was short one payday, so I got a $200 loan to cover all my expenses. Next payday rolled around and I was short again, but this time I also had the payday loan roll over fee to pay, so I got another payday loan............etc., etc. etc. Now i'm in such a bad place that I have 8 payday loans who's payments all got bounced by my bank because i didn't have the money, so on top of all those debts, I also have the bank's over draft fees hanging over my head.

Has any one dealt with Wachovia and the hard debit block? I am going to the bank on Monday to see if they will work with me on this. I know I should speak to the branch manager.

I received a summons from an attorney representing Discover Card. It say that I owe $6,143. How do reply to this summons? Do I send a letter to the Broward County Court? Please let me know. PERSONAL INFORMATION REMOVED Arthur

Rigth now my current debt on credit cards is: Dillards: $500 Target $182.46 Macys $276.15 Express: $700 JCPenney $453 Capitalone $750 Paypal: $250 All of them at least 3 months behind. Do you think that debt settlement is possible for me?

Has anyone ever heard of these folks? I got a dunning letter from them today, for a credit card debt that I've never had.... Universal Card Services. I've never heard of them, either. I've been able to find very little about them, on the web...other than the BBB has given them a grade of a big fat F! LOL! The return address is a PO box# in Michigan, yet all correspondence is to be sent to Account Resolution Associates in Chatsworth, Ca. My attorney will enjoy this one, I do 'bleve. ;) I haven't checked any of my credit reports, yet...to see if they've been snoopin' on 'em.
