Not sure if this is the right forum for this. If not please move it. We live in WA and I need some advice on medical bills. My son (18) was in an auto accident in April, right before HS graduation. He was parked on the shoulder of a road in daylight and another driver crossed the center line and hit him head-on. Both cars were totaled. My son was injured, but not too severely.

what can i do if someone is trying to collect a debt illegally?

This is odd and just want to know if anyone has any news on this

is regent asset managment solutions a legit company or not?i received a call from them a few months ago with no msg...i called the number back and it was a recording saying that it was the legal department of regent asset management solutions and you could make a payment at paymentoffer.com or something like that...so i went home and looked up the site...it is a website for this company that allows you to set up a payment arrangement w/o speaking to one of there rude representatives....so i put in my phone number and it pulled a file they have for me from a us bank account that was charged off

If the office of the Attorney General Office has called me to pay on my Debt and I still cant pay the balance in full What is the next action Att.Gen will take?

We are using debt settlement company, our 2 B of A accounts are 90 days and they are offering 35% on both right now. they told the company or it will go to litigation. we were advised this is a good offer, but shouldn't we be holding out a little longer, as I have heard B of A can go as low as 20%, and we are only 90 days since last payment. What would you do? Do they usually sue this early?? Thanks!!!

We are a family of four with 2 young children. My husband lost his job since March and is unable to find one, so im the only one working. Its tough and couple of times we set a meeting with BK lawyer and cancelled. We decided to settle it ourselves as long as i am still working. We have 95k in unsecured credit.

I graduated La'James Cosmetology School Oct. '08 but did not get my license. I did not get the experience I paid for. It was basically a rip off, but that's a long story. I have filed for Disability and am still waiting for a hearing. I am broke, unemployed and have no income. I won't have any money until I get my Social Security. My only hope is to win the lottery but can't even afford a ticket. I am 130 days past my default and Iowa Student Loan said I have to pay $24,986 by November or I'll be sued. Wachovia said I have to pay $3,298 by Oct. 25.

anyone has recent negotiations with Dyck? We owed 40k and been paying $10 for the past 3 months, all they did was call once a month and report late payment to the credit bureaus. I offered 6k settlement but they dont want to settle. It seems that they are not interested. Im just worried that i will get a judgement letter for wage garnishment. Im the only one working because my husband is jobless since March. Im hoping that they will settle for 35% at 14,000, payable in 2 years. Any ideas?
