I sent a complaint to the MN attorney general regarding my internet payday loans. I received a letter today stating that they are contacting the companies. The letter said that the company had 10 days to respond. Say a prayer that this works. All i want is for them to leave me alone.

I have went through Financial Peace at my church, and I am determined to pay off ALL my debt by this spring. I have made pay arrangements with 3 of my creditors, and should have them paid in 3 months, since the balances are small. However, I do have some hefty balances with a hospital (hubby had 3 heart attacks - no insurance!), and 4 credit cards (which I do pay on, but just the minimum) We learned in FP about setting up a pro rata plan, but I am still confused on how to do it....can anyone here give me some insight? Thanks!

402-982-0406 I got this call yesterday around 4:30 pm, stating it was "Rachel", but it was a computerized voice, and they left no company name. All the recording said was that it was in regards to my credit card, but "that nothing is wrong with your card. Act now to lower your interest rate!" I hung up because I they didn't tell me which company they were with. Any help would be appreciated. I did a search on the internet and in here, but brought up nothing. I forgot to mention that you CAN'T call the number back!

If a credit card company sells the bad debt to LVNV does LVNV have legal enforceable right of the entire contract to include addtitonal intest or just the right to collect the debt?

Hello, I have not been here in awhile.. I have been sick and out of work for two weeks. which means i lost a whole paycheck :( i am back now but still am not well, i only came back for the money.. i have rent, car payments, car insurance, phone, utilites, and other stuff all due soon. does anyone know the process of temporary disability or the NJ Family leave act? everyone here keeps saying I am just out of a check but I do not think so. i am just so worried about my bills. but i did miss this board and wanted to pop in, say hi and i guess vent a bit.

A creditor filed suit against me over an unpaid loan and I am working with a debt mgmt company to negotiate settlement. The account was not even 90 days past due yet when the suit was filed.

Hi everyone, I have a payday loan through Big Limited. For the first time, they failed to send me the email to renew the loan. I was totally unaware they were not Nevada based like I had thought. I have read they were included in the million dollar settlement. Because they have failed to send me the renewal notice, I am wondering if they are letting me be as I have paid them an ungodly amount. I am finally in a position where I was going to call them and pay it off but I am wondering what their thinking is now that they got nailed. Any insight on if they are going to continue business?
