People often say that settlement tend to improve at the end of the month. At what point does that start? Today is 9/21, so less than 10 days to the end of the month. No more movement from my creditors. Do I wait until 2-3 days before the end? In my limited experience the time it takes to get written agreements, etc, can easily go beyond 2-3 days... which is why I was trying to start this today. Any thoughts here?

i just went a with a debt management company, but they aren't a big help. what would happen if i went back and took care of credit card & pay day stuff myself. dave

I am contemplating an extended payment plan with the local strorefronts beginning this week. The following are internet loans: # 4 - Cash Jar - $ 500; paid total of $ 375 and stopped. # 5 - Zip19.com/Northway Financial; $ 600.

I purchased a motorcycle in my name and a friends name a few months ago. The other night i recieved a call from the finance company stating i owed 450.00. I know that i have paid all the payments on time over the phone, so i checked my banking information to make sure all the payments went through, which they had. I called them back to try and understand where they were coming up with that figure. They stated the payments went up due to two purchases after the bike purchase. We have not purchased anything on that account, so i am disputing it.

I posted this in the BK forum but couldnt get any feedback, just checking here to see if anyone knows: I have some debt issues and I'm practically to the point of a bankruptcy. I set up an appointment with a bankruptcy lawyer just to talk about my credit and weigh my options. He pretty much steered me towards a bankruptcy but I had it in the bank of my mind that it might not be my only option but it was the only way he was going to get money out of me.

We are in a Chapter 13, and many of our credit card creditors did not file a proof of claim, and the date has passed. Why would they not file ? According to the documents, they can't come after us after the discharge, so do they just write this off ? Very strange !!! Also, for these creditors, what should it say on our credit report ? Charge off ? Thanks for the input !

I recently found out that my wife is being sued by Cach LLC for about 2 grand. Oddly enough we never received a summons or verification of debt. I can look up the court case and see that they sent the summons to the wrong address. She is due for court the end of the month, but we were never givin a chance to resond to the summons. the only reason why we even found out about the case was because a bankruptcy firm sent us junk mail because they searched for recent filed law suits. FYI this debt took place before we were married. WHat can be done. if anything

payday loan laws in maryland. I have been told that i could go to jail for not paying internet payday loans

I live in san antonio, texas, I defaulted on several payday loans, they are all strore front. I have ACE cash express owe them $1290. I owe Cash and Go $560.00, I owe advance cash america $1080.00 and EZ money $1200.00 I have defaulted in all of these not intentionally but because I went on maternity leave... ACE cash express has been calling me and my references telling my references that I have commited fraud and i am bein sued for fraud and that my references are going to be included in the case as well.
