Has anyone had any success with including Think Cash/First Bank of Delaware in the Debt Management Plan? I'm working with ClearPoint and they are checking into it, they said they've worked with them in the past, but with personal loans, not installment loans. I thought they were both?

Just got off the phone with this company, They gave me 2 hours to get back to them. This American express card is 3 mos. late. These people are from india, I told them I was recording them. I can't belive I was talking to India.

Lets make this short... I was not properly served and only found out when my bank send me a collection letter for a negative balance of $100 something or whatever. What happen was Capital One filed a claim against me and won and they put a levy on my bank account which I had no funds in there, maybe 200 bucks. I do not know how much they try to take out but this happened around Dec of last year when I found out. From my credit report I see that Capital One won a civil judgment against me in the amount of $7xx. My bank accounts are closed because I am afraid of the levy.

Can someone provide a definition of bottom feeder ? i have also seen the terms MTN and MTE. definitions of those please... Again, thanks to all who provide info here, its been a God send....

I have medical bills from 2004 and credit card bills from 2004 and 2005 but they want me to settle for way more then i owed and they are on my credit report is there a legal way that i could get rid of them.

She claims she sent me paperwork but I never received anything. I took this payday loan out last April and since I had to close my account to get my finances in order, I didn't even recognize the payday loan because they never contacted me for their money. I went on their website and logged in and sure enough , my account is in collections for $271 dollars and some change.

I got a call today to go to the sheriffs office to pick up some papers. It turns out it is a civil summons for an old credit card that is not quite out of the statute of limitations. The amount due is like $800. I called the place and made arrangements to send them full payment within the next 30 days. I asked them if that would clear everything up and they said yes and that the court would not proceed with anything unless they asked them to and as long as I send the money they won't.

I am currently in a debt mgmt. plan where I pay $518.00 twice a month toward credit card debt of $35,000. I've been doing this for 18 months. Needless to say, it's been difficult keeping up with the payments in this economy. Although the interest rates have been lowered, I am still piling up more interest on top of what I owe. Would it be to my advantage monetarily to withdraw from the DMP and let the accounts go into default and then try to settle for less?

Please help!! Got a call from QCA or NCA a lady named Janice. She stated that she had some papers for me. She said she had recordings indicating that when they called my job, I said I didn't work there and I did b/c I got tired of the calls. She told me to transfer her to HR and I told her ok and hung up the phone. What can she do to me. Even though its been 3 yrs Im afraid that they will garnish my paycheck.. Can this happen? She called me from a blocked number. I live in NC.
