If I am filing chapter 7, because of outstanding debts both credit and medical, and I have a pending law suit against me for a car accident, is it better to wait on the outcome of said lawsuit to see if I get a judgment (and can it then be discharged) or will it be discharged anyway because it is a pending suit during the filing?

I contacted US Bank and they said they charge off at 120 days. I sent a written offer to them at 90 days. The person I spoke to said they don't accept letters and he said they the lowest they would go is 80%. I think they are snowing me. I plan to call them back next week ( closer to end of month). Next, another creditor wants my pay stubs. Can I black out my deductions so they don't demand I cash in my 401k? Thanks, Cinderella

I am attempting to help my Mom out of a snowball she has gotten into. She has 10 Pay advances out totaling around 4500 as best I can tell. Based on my research on this site and a few minutes spent at the Florida Office of Financial Regulation website-it seems to me that only ONE of them is legal here in Florida.....and that would be Advance America.

I sent ACH revocation to both illegal lenders and closed my account. However, they still withdrew funds completely disregarding the ACH revocations i sent that. Also it seems the bank didn't close my account immediately as requested. Now I'm -$220 on that account. I can't afford this..i live pay check to pay check right now and got kids to feed. What can i do? I went to the bank to revoke ACH and get my account closed3 days before these lenders tried to get money..i also sent these lenders ACH revocation letters 3 days before this as well.

If I contact a collection agency to validate a debt or negotiate a deal...will that reset the clock? Will the Collection Agency report to the credit bureau and change the last activity date to current? Thanks in advance

My husband and myself took out multiple payday loans last year ( my apartment was kicked in and I had to do an emergency move) and I was paying on time and re borrowing since me and him are on social security. However, after our joint account was hacked in February ( because we did not pay for account protection we had to eat the cost) of this year that account was negative and it consumed all our money. That meant we could not pay our loans back. The lenders have tried twice to pull money out of that account .
