I was doing some research on this collection company and happen to find some compliants concerning there trade practies. They have tryed to collect on a debt that all they had was a address and a phone number nothing else. Not even name, a d.o.b. or even a social security number. As of right now i have filed a complaint with the texas att. general and let them handle the matter for me, cause im not getting nowhere with them.

Hi, I am originally from the US and am currently working in Australia. I recently got in a car accident a now have a $6000 dollar debt to the insurance company. As my visa expires in a couple of months and I'm planning on moving back to either the US or Canada, I was wondering if there was any chance of a debt this size being pursued overseas. I plan on making small payments until I leave Australia but am curious if I should continue paying after I leave for good. Thanks for you help!

A couple of years ago My two business partners and I decided to open up a Restaurant, due to minimal funds available to us at that time my wife and I put a lot of the Build out, equipment etc... on our CC cards. The business is going great and we are actually in the process of expanding the restaurant. However having three owners makes it hard to make really good money. My wife and I are struggling financially we have almost lost our house and we are barely making our CC payments, if at all. We have a One and a half year old Son and we are expecting another child this February.

Is The Money Store or Cash Connection legal lenders in alabama? I searched for all my payday loans on a link that came up on one of my other threads and i could not find them. are they licensed under a different name?

I have been working with langhorne, everything has been good, but i'm thinking of going at it alone and am looking for some help. I know everyone on here is very knowledgable. I was just gonig through my records, and scanning and categorizing statements, mostly from CA's so that I will have everything in order for my petition. I realized that there are three creditors that I have not received anything from in months. It appears that after I told BofA, Cap One, and Target that I have retained a bk attorney, they have just sat on the accounts. I have had no collection activity from any of them. It just seems strange to me, as I have read that Cap One in particular is one of the quickest to file suit.

Midland and their law agancy filed a cicil suit against me on 9/21/09 on the case details the court shows I was served papers on10/23/09 in Ls Cruces. I was never served papers and have not lived in Cruses for over 9 years. The district court clerk advised I get legal aid to create the necessary letters to file a motion to vacate for improper service. I do not have the money to hire a lawyer adn do not meet the income level for free legal aid (just got a job 2 weeks ago) Has anyone had to do this and could advise on a sample letter? Thanks

One of my grrand uncles is considering useing this company to help him resolve his debt. I tried to look them up for futher information.. complaints.. ect.. but I might not be as spffy keen with the research engine as I thought.. Does anyone know anything about this company! They are based out of Costa Mesa CA.

Can anyone that has settled with Chase tell me how long it took for your account to be brought down to zero and reported as such on your credit reports?

I am months and months behind on my cc's. I am on unemployment. My min payments went from $40 to $600. I'm afraid to answer the phone. If they call me and offer a settlement (I can't afford that right now, even if they break up the payments over a few months), what happens? So, is their next step a lawsuit? I owe about $3,000 to chase, and $1100 to Bofa. Thank YOu
