These people are real SOB"S-they threaten they lie-they are ! They are relentless thinking that the more intimidating than the mob! The people that leave constant messages are uneducated a-holes. There is complaint after complaint about this type of organization and their tactics and I have just added another complaint with the BBB and the Attorney General so maybe one of these days they will all be strung up by their toemails

Lyons & Doughty Veldhuis have sued me for a Capital One card. It was $500 limit which now they want me to pay $1150. They filed for summary judgement and i objected the amount so i have a date on July 31st for a hearing. Since it was my CC and they showed me original application & final statement from June '08 i dont know wat wud happen. Maybe judge wud give judgement in CA's favor. I was thinking of calling them and trying to settle the account by offering them 50% or watever i could negotiate as i don't have a job since last oct. Wat do u guys think i shoud be doing?

Does anyone know anything about them? Also, are PDL's legal in Louisiana?

I took the advice of the forum and sent numerous CA's debt validation requests. None responded. Account just kept going to different CA. Now Blitt and Gaines has account which has been charged off and is threatening to sue if I don't pay them $10,000 of the original 11,000 which has now gone to almost 14,000 within 7 months which I am disputing. What can I do? I would have settled when I was offered a $4,000 settlement but I never got validation. HELP! :shock:

Hello, In Feb '09 I disputed a very old ('03) paid in full/closed account with Capital One, which has negative notations on my credit report. Capital One validated this account with all three credit reports, thus it remained on my credit report. In Apr '09 I asked for Capital One to verify this account for me along with the late payments. I called on this account several times to verify this infomation. I spoke with over 15 different reps, 2 supervisors, recovery unit and 2 account managers and no one could locate this account to give me any information.

Hello. I have lost my case and (major bank) has won a judgement against me. In New York, how long will it take for them to do something with it? Are they going to approach me initially with a pay in full notice? What will they go after first Bank Accts? Wages? Personal Property? Thanks in advance
