Is Fla. a WG state and if they are, how can they do it if you are self employed?

Anyone have any dealings with them?

I need to come up with the money to apy my attoney so she will file bk for me. although she says that i do not have to pay her all at once, she cannot file for me until the entire fee is paid. I guess my question is, will there be negative consequences(legal or otherwise) if i were to take out several small (probably payday loans) to come up with the fee and them immediatley fike bk, including said loans?

Any luck w. settling with Commerce Bk (~ 8000K) and National City (~10K)? Any one have the phone numbers to contact to talk to a settlement rep??

i have abotu 75K in debt make about 100K plus with hubby, on my own make 78K. Most of the 75k debt is in my name only. do credit card companies care about what people make when they settle? Also boa gave me the names of debt management companies like Nova Debt, take charge america. I am suspicious about calling these companies that BOA recommended. Would you guys be?

Well, I got a letter in the mail today from my local municipal court. It is a Request for Hearing of Garnishement of property other than personal earnings. It also states that the creditor wishes to direct some of my money, in excess of 400 dollars, prperty, or credits, other than personal earnings that may now be in the posession of 'my current banks name & address'. Apparently a judgment was granted in favor of the creditor, represented by Javitch, Block & Rathbone, back in June of 2007!! News to me! I did not realize I had been taken to court, much less have a judgement against me.

Is there a letter or something to inform creditors that i am filing bankruptcy? My attorney says that although she cannot file for me until the whole attoneys fee is paid, if i give her 50 dollars she will put me in the system and can inform creditors of my intentions to file bk. Will this stop the calls? is there a letter like a cease and desist letter ot make them leave me alone? or can they keep calling me and my references and job until i officially file? anybody have ewxperience with this? i dont know if this makes a difference but i live in alabama...

Hi I have way too many Payday loans, and have all of them into a credit counseling and the payments are KILLING me!! Whats some advice, Ive seen something about some of the payday loans online being illegal...

What does everyone believe will happen in this situation: When I was younger I did some dumb things and have been trying to re-establish myself in both checking and credit. My current Chex system is: 1 account closed June 2005 for NSF - local bank 1 account closed Nov 2005 for NSF - local bank 1 account closed Jan 2006 "account abuse" - BofA 3 checks from Nov 2005 amounts: 29.58, 24.13, & 22.67 on account closed Nov 2005..have tried over the years to pay these to wal-mart for face value but they insisted on tacking on "collection fees" in addition to their NSF fee of $30 on each of them
