I'm in Chexsystems but was able to open an HSBC Checking account a couple of weeks ago. I just pulled a new copy of my Chexsystems report and there is no inquiry from HSBC listed. Does anyone here have any experience with HSBC doing Chexsytems inquiries/sweeps after an account is open? Or do you think I'm free and clear and actually have a checking account again?

I am new to this site and have found some really good advice here. But, I have a question about PDLs in Maine. I looked at the link that one of the mods provided and it said that pdls are not allowed in Maine (at least that I am sure that is what I read). So, if I told my 2 loans that I could not pay and closed my acct. What would be the PDLs course of action. Right now, I have: Fastcash911--200.00 UpFront Cash--200.00 I've also just finished paying off Outback bucks as well as another loan. However, much like everyone else, I am feeling the strain.

I can't seem to get a letter from these folks. I just need a bal. sheet so I can keep up with my payments and deductions but they say that they don't do that. I tried to ask at where I would send my payments and even talked to them on the phone. Still no results. I don't even know how much I owe at this time. Any help would be gratefull.

I just discovered this board and was wondering if anyone can give my any advice. I currently have a loan from 800899cash. My first payment was deducted yesterday. I'm trying to get this paid off ASAP. After going over my budget, I realized that I can make an extra payment today. I just called and tried to pay an additional $60. I was told that I couldn't do that and that my only options were to pay the loan in full or wait until the next due date (in two weeks) to make a payment.

this company calls every day and uses a law firm they are with to get you to be scared and jump that they are going to take you to court, if I don't sign blank checks over to them asap.

I just got my invitation to sign up for Google Voice. If you can get it, it offers a great feature. It allows you to record any incoming call that you can start any time during the call, and save them online and access them anytime. They even include an automated message at the beginning of the recording to help maintain compliance with state laws. It looks like it is worth looking into when available. I am not usually a big fan of bundling too many service with a provider, but this one looks really good.

What would you suggest to do with a van that has a broken transmission that we can't afford to fix, Is past due on payments and not wanted in our possession?

It's taken a lot for me to even get to the point where I have to admit that I've accumulated debts that I simply will not be able to pay back with the resources I currently have access to. I am broke. My debt has built up over a long time; about 10-12 years since I was a college student. It stands currently at 43,000. My family was never wealthy so a credit card helped me keep up with everything a student was expected to do at the time; I would have been embarrassed to not be able to because of money. I dutifully paid minimums and subsequently my limits increased.

please help! our bank account was garnished and I need any or all info I can get about it. Is our next paycheck next friday going to be taken as well? I did not or have not received notice of any notice to garnish, thus I do not know who the creditor is. I called the bank, but it was after hours, so I have to wait until Monday to get the court papers. But for now, any info would be appreciated!
