Today's the day. All off my PDL's are going into default. I've put it off for months now, but I just can't keep up with it anymore. I am in the process of filing for WI Chapter 128. However until all of the paperwork goes through I'm a sitting duck. With 9 pdl's out my biggesst concern is the phone calls at work and to my references. This situation is embaressing. Last thing I want is for my friends and family to be harassed. I guess I should have thought about that ahead of time. I hope this 128 goes as well as I have heard. I hope the employees at my loan centers can be understanding.

We are currently waiting for discharge with our chapter 7. We were late on our May mortgage payment. Sent it off and the next day received a Motion for Stay from the Wells Fargo attorney. They accepted my May payment. I told them I would be sending my June payment by the end of the month and that would bring my account current. Wells Fargo rep said fine and to check when it was received and the attorney would most likely drop the motion.

I have had medical issues my whole life and have A TON of medical bills. I have called myself the six million dollar woman. The medical bills are "recurring ones" I have the same problems over and over. If I do file medical bankruptcy (which has been suggested to me a few times) will my doctors still treat me? I really want to keep the doctors I have but I'm drowning in medical bills! One of my major recurring probelms is a brain tumor, and I don't want just any doctor poking around in my brain. Please help!

Has anyone successfully fought a wage garnishment? I live in MS and went to the circuit clerk yesterday to see if I could file a slow pay motion. They said the only motion I could file was a "motion to stay" which is where I take all my bills before a judge and explain why I can't afford the garnishment. I tried contacting the attorney today and the lady I spoke with was rude basically saying I missed payments so there was nothing they could do. This is a garnishment from a medical bill. I have more surgery coming up and I can't afford this!

Has anyone had any dealings with the "mediator" company called WNYC? They work for several creditors, but First Bank of Delaware left my sister a message that they were going to serve me paper on Monday between 10-12. I called the 800# and he told me that I was in serious trouble for check fraud on a closed bank account and will have to go to court if I am served these papers. A $400 loan turned into $9000 with all the fees. I have to come up with $2442 by TODAY or they will proceed with serving the papers.

Hi Ev1, Was wondering if a creditor or CA can put a freeze on your account w/out letting you know anything. Has not happened to me, but wondering if they can. I live in Massachusettes and my name is on my mothers account and dont want anything to happen w/hers. Im on it just to be able to do her banking for her since she is 76yrs old Thanks for all your help

I was just curious as to the best way to handle items on my credit report that have been charged off...should I just leave it, contact the original lender, the collection agency or what?

I am trying to arrange settlements for my 12 PDL's on my own. I live in Oregon Lenders are; Think cash, magnum cash, kenwood services, grc funding, cash in a wink, ez cash media, payday max, impact cash, ace cash, titan group, cash advance network, paycheck today are any of these legal in Oregon, and how do I communicate with these lenders about their legality without them being nasty?
