I am simply looking for advice on where to start. My wife and I have a blended family with a total of 5 children. I work 2 jobs and she stays home with them to save n childcare. We have 2 cars that we are way upside down on. We have a home with zero equity. We have been living off our credit cards for the past year or so because her ex has been way behind on child support and we have gotten no help from the state. We are now to our breaking point where we simply will not be able to make our bills and still put food on the table.

Chase gave me a five year pay off plan on three seperate cards tottalling 15k. Is it possible to now settle the amount owed? I am having a hard time making the payments. They told me when I signed on for the plan I would not qualify for any other settlement options if I defaulted. Is this true?

i defaulted with cash advance network friday and have not heard from them yet. borrowed 200 - repaid 60 (fees only) i logged onto the site this morning and it shows zero balance and zero amount due. I sent them a letter revoking ach, contact, and garnish. Anyone have any idea what i can expect next from them?

I had a Discover account that was transfered/sold to First Select. Now First Select sent it to Credigy. The original account balance was $1000 when it was Discover. Now that it is with Credigy it's over $7000. I have paid over $2300 to Credigy and am wondering if there is any advise on how to get them to settle for the amount i've already paid? No one is helpful because it's with a lawfirm and they keep telling me that they won't settle for less than an additional $4500. I have also called Credigy and they apparently don't do anything!

Hello, I owe instatnwages.com around $274. I told them that they do not have a license to issue payday loans in South Dakota...but they are telling me that they are under Delaware law and that I am obligated to pay it. Am I liable for this debt? Also...I told them that under the Electronic Funds Transfer Act that I do not have to pay my payday loan electronically and want to send in a payment via the US mail. They say they don't have a way to accept mail payments. I think this is crap. Anybody else have a similar experience??

Ok, so this may sound like the dumbest question today... but I have never been great at handling the finances so I am going to ask rather than assuming anything one way or another... I have had several PDLs that I had taken out (addressed in several other posts)... my question is this... the amount we have paid to these PDLs, they all had SOME amount paid to them, which subsequently took my account into negative status...

I didn't return a dvd to Blockbuster for a really long time and I got a letter from NAFS saying that I owe them a certain amount of money for my outstanding debt. I returned the DVD to Blockbuster and asked them if all was squared as long as I paid the dollar and something over due fee and they said yes. They said that I don't owe anything anymore. Yet I am still getting phone calls from NAFS saying that I owe them the same amount of money that they were asking for from the start.

How do I string the CC Companies on while I save for settelment? I have 39K in CC debt I need 15k to settle at 40%
