Hi I went to my meeting 2 weeks ago all went well....My question is I would like to start to rebuild my credit I have truly learned threw this couble of years the value and respect for a dollar. I have a card with 0 balance I would like to charge $10.00 and pay it will this report and improve my credit? The main question should I wait to get my discharge papers first????? Thank you

This company called our house several times after hours and left a 800-824-6191 claimed it was a collection call. I called back and they claimed it was for ATT bill we have never had any business with ATT. This was Under my husbands name and requested last four of social and ask if we lived on Eastern Street. They claimed this was the wrong person and they would remove my unlisted number from their system... I am sure this is some kind of scam so beware. Don't be a victim

I received a call from PDM Associates in my office today threatening me to contact the DA's office and my HR department if i didn't pay them $800+. Saying that i am defrauding an internet loan and will be prosecuted!! I live in Florida... These loans were orig. from Huskhawk and Vince enterprises....HELP!!

Has anyone ever gone through a BK audit? If so, what is involved? Do they come to your house and inspect your belongings? I know under the 2005 BK law revisions, you are only allowed to keep one radio, one TV, and one computer. (Under the federal exemptions; I don't know if these restrictions also apply to state exemptions where the filer is using those.) But, how do they know how many TVs, etc, you own, without going through your stuff? Or when you acquired the item, maybe, after the case was discharged.

:D I hired Marc Tow to do a loan modification on a first and second for my home. It was a very long process, but his firm was able to get me a loan modification on both loans. The first mortgage was reduced to 1% and the second mortgage settled for 7% of the balance. I have been to the office and have seen the operation. They are working hard and they worked hard for me. I would recommend him for this service.

I keep getting called by a recorded message from Vision Financial from 866-671-4615. Who are these people? Has anyone had experience with them? Any advice would be great.

I have looked on the Florida website, but either I am looking in the wrong places, or just don't know what or where to look to see if they are illegal The PDL's I have are East Side Lenders - $400.00 ($520.00 w/finance fee) Ashland - $200.00 ($260.00 w/finance) Kenwood Services - $200.00 (260.00 w/finance) I think Ashland and Kenwood belong to the same parent company. PWEST ??

I received a call from Financial Management Systems, collecting for a CA...question is...they left a message on my cell phone stating "This is Bob from FMS...they have received my file in their office with a balance due...it is yours because we have your name and SS#. You need to call back today. Good Luck!" Paraphrased, but basic message info here. Is this legal? :shock:

I'm new to this site and had a few questions...1.) I have private student loans and am trying to have them consolidated but I've gotten pretty much the same reply from every place, "due to the current economic conditions we are not consolidating private loans." Does anyone know where you can get private student loans consolidated. My loans are not at the wage garnishment stage yet but I fear they are getting close! My debt is in the 50-60k range.

I have two separate issues involving an old internet PDL (which I overpaid and is considered illegal in my state according to my AG) that TWO collection agencies are trying to collect on. And another question regarding debt verification in general. I am trying to everything by the book to keep these agencies off my back and keep my job. The first issue.... Ireceived a phone call on February 12th regarding a debt owed to Pay Day Loan-Yes. I sent a request for validation that day. I received an Account Verification Statement dated the April 13.
