Debit Card Dispute

16 years 11 months ago
A few weeks ago, I made some deposits with Bodog for a total of around $4,000. Later, I made a withdrawal of $4,500. The issue started when the withdrawal transaction was cancelled without my authorization or knowledge, and my account was cleared out. I called Bodog and tried explaining to them it was a fradulent charge and they would have none of it. They were being extremely rude and hostile, while insisting that I was the one who lost the money. I tried reasoning with them but to no avail. So what I did next was call the bank, and reported a dispute for $4,000.

Threatening to call my employer saying I committed fraud

16 years 11 months ago
I got a call today from a guy with a very thick accent from something called United Legal. He said I could be arrested and some crazy things. I pretty much know I cannot be arrested for a past due debt (I do not even recall any payday loans that have not been paid off). The one thing he did say that bothered me is that he would call my employer and tell them I had committed fraud by using their computer to apply for the loan. This supposedly was from a loan in 2006. I do not even work at the same company.

payday loan default consequences

16 years 11 months ago
The payday loans that I have are not internet loans, but loans I opened by going directly to the place of business they operate from. I have only been able to pay the interest on these loans, some of them I have had for almost a year. I have already let some of them default. My question is can they turn these loans over to the District Attorney and prosecute me criminally? Some of them have threatened to do so.

Don't use Settlement Companies. Do Your Own SETTLEMENT

16 years 11 months ago
go to (link deleted per TOS - Advertising not permitted) The simple truth is that it's best to handle your own debt settlement program, rather than pay someone else to deal with your creditors. By negotiating your own settlements, you'll save a ton of money in fees, decrease the risk of creditor backlash, and feel better about the process when you're done. I spent hundreds of hours researching debt settlement strategies. Finally, I coughed up $120 for "Richard Gellers" advice and much to my annoyance , it was no different from my own research.

No word from legal PDL's

16 years 11 months ago
So I haven't received any word from the legal PDL's that I have outstanding...I sent them all letters stating that I was willing to pay but needed time, etc. I asked for a statement of some sort so I would know my balance. But I haven't heard back...should I start calling? This is pretty weird I figured they'd be all over me by now. Who knows maybe I'll get served one day soon.......

Debt Settlement Offer that I can't come up with Money

16 years 11 months ago
What to do.. I've had this acct with Credit solutions for over a year now and their program you don't have a "bank savings" acct. Well now my cc has went TO MANN BRACKEN they offered me today a 45% settlement of $4620.00 in 2 payments I so want to take this offer, but I don't have $2346.00 by the end of the month. So I called Mann Brancken myself today and they said if I don't settle its going to arbratration. I'm sick I've been crying all day. I'm a stay at home mom and finding a Job right now is near impossible. I'm listing all kinds of crap on ebay and amazon right now.

Question about a pending lawsuit in Florida

16 years 11 months ago
Hi All, I just have a couple specific questions. First of all, I havn't been served papers yet. If my understanding is correct, I have 20 days to respond after papers are served. The only reason I found out about this lawsuit is because I needed to check country records for something else and saw this come up. They still have an old address so they must not have tracked me down yet. So, first of all, if they never serve me papers do I even need to do anything?
