In regards to my first post and the letter Northland Group sent me, I mailed off my first payment to Northland on the 26 they got it on the 28. Midland has in between this time pulled back my account. They say they have not gotten a payment yet and also would not honor what Northland offered to me even though a payment was sent and they were acting on thier behalf. Midland told me to call them back Friday.

I have 2 cards that I stopped paying on so I could do a settlement, but the ended up going on my girlfriends credit report. We have been together for 5 and a half years, we have lived to gether for 2 years in Texas, and we do not have a joint account. The cards are only in my name also. Can they do this?

I have a collection account on my credit report from Phoenix Recovery Group. It is for some bogus charges from an apartment I moved out of in June 2006. I have prepared my DV letter and was looking for info on the Texas Secretary of State website about license and bonding for these people and could not find any. Has anyone here ever dealt with them?

cmg says they will turn me over to collections if i default and wil not respond to any further emails. Gave me the "governing law excuse" what now

I'm actually surprised I sent this- I'm usually very meek and shy and will agree to anything to avoid confrontations BUT it made me SO mad that they want more money. This was in response to the e-mail that they sent about "governing law" and wanting a card number- According to Mississippi law, a payday lender must be licensed in Mississippi to lend legally to Mississippi residents. Please provide me with your MS license number. If you do not have a MS license, then I am only obligated to pay back the principal amount of $300, which I have.

I'm filing for BK CH 7 on 6/30/09 - trying to think ahead and want to make sure I begin to do everything possible to improve my credit score after. I want to be able to get a copy of all 3 credit reports & monitor it to ensure that all accounts get listed correctly - would also like to get score so I have a baseline to make my goals. I know there is annualcreditreport.com, but I've already used that in the last year. Just wanted opinons from you all on how I should go about getting a copy of the report & access to view it going forward. Thanks!!!

ok i got a phone call from nco trying to collect on a delinquent cc account..dola 4 yrs, item is scheduled to drop off credit file 2/2010..so its been there awhile..anyway i got phone call and sent dv letter, and about 4 wks later i got the"your account is closed in our office" letter. Now, oc still owns the account and is reporting such..after researching account with the paperwork i have, nco has had this account for several years..since they have closed the file, what will happen next????

If a collection agency has already taken you to court and you later fnd out that they collected on a debt they had no right to do. What can I do at this point???

Many companies worked Debt Management Plan so, How do I know whether a Debt Management Plan is right for me? Anybody can give some comments?

Can anyone tell me if Ameriloan and HIghCountry Ventures are legal to give loans in Minnesota? I have borrowed $300 from each and paid back $360 to Ameriloan and $270 to High Country Ventures. When High Country Ventures debits my account it shows up as pdl loan center. I was told they could only debit what I borrowed from them. If this is true how do I stop my next debit as it is due on Friday 6-12-09. Thank You
