About 3 years ago, I had several payday loans (all online). I was fortunate enough to come across this site, which became a real blessing to me! I contacted all of my payday loan companies with the letter telling them to stop all automatic drafts from my checking account, etc. I had grossly overpaid all of them at that point. I asked that they mark my account paid in full. The majority of them did that. I had a couple that just never acknowledged my correspondence, so I just repeatedly emailed & faxed the letter to them. I have copies saved of all of my correspondence with all of them.

My loan is 3 years old and now the lender is calling my parents home and telling them that the FBI is involed because i wrote them a fraudulent check and it crossed state lines. Also they say they are going to sue "the pants off of me". I have no job and my husband barely makes enough to cover our current bills. I can't tell them I will make payment arrangements because I have no money. Can someone please tell me if there is anything I can do to keep from going to court.

If I do my own bankruptcy, do I still have to take the credit counseling classes?

What help can I expect my NE Bank and Finance. Filed complaint forms today. Will they take forever to start working on them.

Shouldn't this show a -0- balance?

meaning I have to get a lawyer because I will get a citation in the mail to appear in court. I am scared and don't know what to do. I tried to call the collections agency and noone is there. THis is for checkngo, i live in WA, amount is 1700 I think. I cannot set up PA with them they told me to just wait to hear from my county and I will be in public records. :(

Im a 22 year old guy who has been unemployed for the past 8 months. I have picked up various jobs including watching children but barely make enough for food each week. I live with my girlfriend and have been receiving calls for the past 6 months. I want to pay off all my debts because I feel I owe the money however it just doesn't seem possible. I have $15k in various credit cards which are now with law firms and collection companies. Is it time to file and take care of everything? Which steps should I take first? Any answers will be helpful.

I made an agreement w/the collection company for PayDayMax, they were to start taking payments (last Friday) of 131.00 out of my checking account for 6 months. They never took the payment out and now are calling me saying they are going to report me to the authorities for passing a bad check. I think they are full of crap! The money is in my account, I don't know what to do. They are RUDE on the phone and threatening.
