i just called my courthouse and found out a summons for a cc debt in sol in ohio is in the process of being printed at my local court... *here's the deal-i'm 99% certain it is my debt-but i am not certain the ca that are sueing are the ones who should be paid due to others still calling me for the debt* can anyone please walk me through the court procedures or point me in the right direction to find it on my own? i would greatly appreciate it! thanks... clerk of courts said the summons will be mailed today and i should get it within a day or so...help!!!!!

Filing for Chapter 7 BK on 6/30/09. Court date for judgement on 6/4/09. Attorney advised me not to go, will be judgement default. I live in VA. Is there enough time for creditor to garnish my wages between court date on 6/4/09 and my filing date on 6/30/09. Attorney unable to meet prior to that to file, just worried they can garnish my wages by then. Is 25% the max they can garnish, I know VA follows the fed g/l - but they can't take more than 25% right? And 25% of what - my net pay, my gross pay?

Has anyone heard of Access Financial Modifications out of Florida. Are they legitimate?

Back in 2002, I filed for Chpt 7 bankruptcy(it was discharged). Before the laws were changed it should have fallen off this year. I have disputed it endlessly with the CRA's as of "out of Statue" and they keep coming back saying that it will stay on my report till 2012. I've also done the "not mine" actually that was the first thing I tried. I realize that people filing in 2005 have the 10yr law but those of us that filed BEFORE(WELL BEFORE for that matter) the laws were changed shouldn't be penalized. Am I just up a creek for 3 more years?

Where are all the older members from about 2 years ago that really helped me with my pay day loan problems. I see now that all the advice is not very caring and in most instances not correct. Links to instructions are fine, but no real sense of community any more.What happened here? It was at one time a great place with great people .
