Collection lawyers requested my vehicle records

16 years 11 months ago
I received notices today from the state department of licensing that Bishop, White, Miersma & Marshall PS made an inquiry on my vehicle to the department of licensing. I have not had any contact with these people. No letters. They apparently called once (Caller ID), but did not leave a message. I do have some debts I'm working on resolving, but I don't know who these people are representing or what their trying to do. What does it generally mean when a collection agency/law firm makes an inquiry like this? Thanks for an insights provided.

If I surrendered my vechicle back to the bank, does the repo laws apply? I am current on my account. I am having a tough time coming up with the money each month. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

EPP plans

16 years 11 months ago
Hello, Anyways, i do actually have a question for anyone who might help me get the information i need. I have 2 store front payday loans out (as i mentioned in my previous post). Ive called one of the places so far, Money Tree, and they were suprisingly VERY helpful. The guy i spoke with told me that he would hate to see me waste my one time use of the EPP and that he would just hold my check until my rent free payday on the 22nd, which is when i will be going in to pay the full amount off.

Will settlement be possible?????

16 years 11 months ago
Hi there everyone; I am more than half way through settling over $80K of credit card debt. I have negotiated all of the settlement deals myself, and so far I have been very fortunate with the deals I have made. Here is my dilemma: In order to be able to settle with BofA, Amex, Chase, and Wells Fargo, I had to accept a hardship program for my Citibank account...to basically buy time to save funds.

midland funding llc

I received a letter delivered by a random man at an address I don't even live at, but have my mail delivered there. It didn't come in an envelope and i didn't sign a thing. It's a citation for small claims court and apparently I'm being sued by midland funding. Here's the catch, it was issued January 21, 2009 and says that "if this citation is not served withing ninety days after the date of issuance, it shall be returned unserved." Well it's been over 120 days since it was issued. Does this matter? All of it seems very fishy to me.

Ocwen Foreclosure/Loan Mod

16 years 11 months ago
I don't even know where to start this has been going on so long... I'll try to cram everything in. Back in December my husband had his hours cut back from 45 a week to 20 a week. We were struggling and called Ocwen our mortgage company to see what we could do to prevent any problems. The gentlemen I spoke with (foreign, they all are), told me that we needed to be 2 months delinquent before anything could be done. Well, it wasn't hard to fall behind considering the loss in income. In February I called back. I was told that we had to apply for President Obama's foreclosure assistance plan.
