hey guys! I was wondering if a collection company can call my husband even if we have a different last name? I am under some heat and then they stopped a few weeks ago, I get about one or two calls a day when I used to get 15 calls a day from just one number alone. . .ugh it was horrible (it was 555-5555 so dumb!) also. . .does anyone know any great legit consolidation or debt settlement companies? there are SO many out there, I am lost. thanks!

[font=Arial][/font] My husband got a $200 loan from Kingston Financial 2 wks ago and we just paid back that plus the $89 fee this past Fri, so we are paid up in full. I just found out they were illegal and was wondering if anyone had big problems with them, like constant ACH debits every payday, etc. And if they do do this to us, how can i stop that from happening?

I received a summons from Cavalry Portfolio stating they were suing me for about 7500.00 from a debt that they purchased. When I received the summons I answered it denying that I owe them anything since I have never heard of them. It appears they bought a debt from 1999 that was not paid on since 2001. The debt was with MBNA and then became BOA and then bought by Cavalry.

My vehicle broke down in a one horse town in Wyoming, on my way to Idaho last Nov. It was knocking. We drove it to a close by repair shop. We were 9 hrs from our destination. We stayed over in a motel & rented a car to get to our destination. The next day, the mechanic said my timing chain came off and bent all the valves. $3000.00 worth of damage. We said, fix it, we paid $500.00 down. I asked if we could pick it up in the spring.

Hi everyone, I have printed out all 3 of my credit reports and Thanks to God I am so close to being free I can taste it! All this with the help from this website...truly I am very happy I found this website....with that said I have some questions I still dont understand.... None of the credit report layouts are the same which is a pain in the butt to cross check... So if someone can help me out I would appreciate it. What i am trying to do is check to see if anything of these accounts has passed the SOL. Seems that the dates change as I remember them.

As of today, Ace Cash Express is PAID OFF Money Mart is PAID OFF CA Budget Finance is PAID OFF Cash 1 is PAID OFF Check Into Cash last payment May 29th of $62.50 CA Ck Cashing only owe $70.00 (@ $35/Mo) Thank goodness! It has taken a little bit of time & some un-needed stress. But I am definitely seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. Thanks everyone!

i have 3 payday loans. i live in pa. i know my state says i have to follow lenders states rules. but does this mean that state can garnish my wages if that state allows it. or if that state considers closing a bank account illegal am i in trouble. my payday loan companies are payday one in texas. united cash loans ok. and 500 fast cash where i have yet to get an address to sent money nor have the contacted me . i took the loan out in oct of 08. i have payed payday one 120 on a 500 loan. united cash loans i just got their address and sent them 20 dollars. that's all i had.

Hi, I was wondering if anyone has tried a "goodwill letter" to remove lates with Imagine MasterCard or if they have tried anything and if any of it has worked? My account is closed. I currently owe them $719 (my credit limit was $500) I defaulted on my payments January - April, 2009. And since April 2009 I have been making payments again, to get it paid down and eventually paid off. My payments since April/09 have been: April $12.00 (Minimum payment) May $62.00 (Minimum payment ++) I was considering a "goodwill letter" to remove the lates, anyones input would be appreciated.
