Ok, so I'm being sued by north star capital acquisition, who is being represented by a local lawyer. Now on my whole credit report this one account has been purchased by Zenith acquisition. Account status says account tranfered/sold. Ok, I never heard from zenith I don't know what thats about. But north star, my and my attorney we're taking it to court. So how does this work? He said he doubts it'll ever make it to court. So I guess I can get sued by 10 other lawyers until one settles? When wells fargo get sold, the buyer sues me, when does wells fargo disappear?

I just opened a joint bank account with my spouse in the same bank that I have my other accounts in. My spouse has defaulted student loans. She also has a court judgement and her IRS returns are being garnished. I know it is possible for them to garnish the assets in our joint bank account. Is it also possible for them to garnish the funds in my personal accounts in my single name? The bank customer service rep said no.
