I keep getting calls from a company called Cavalry Portfolio Services. The calls started a couple of months ago. The keep asking for a person by the name of MXXXXX J. MXXXXX jr. (I'm not going to give his name). Problem is I don't know who this person is. When I answer they ask for him by name, and I tell them they have the wrong number. Now they have left several messages that state If I'm not MXXXXX J. MXXXXX jr. I should delete the message and not listen to it. (yea right).

my creditor is capital one and they already went to court and i didnt show up. Now how quick can they garnish my wages? Should I quit the job?

my dad & i share the same name with the exception of jr & sr respectively. anyway, i have a default judgement on cf for a debt and the collection agency just started withdrawing his bank account! i did not no about the judgement until recently, when we as the family, found several nsf charges in my fathers bank account. mind you, he's elderly, and the family has taken care of his financial affairs for a few years. when his checks started to bounce, we called the bank and investigated the situation. now, can we do anything at this point? his account is currently a grand in nsf.

Does anyone have a sample of a letter that can be mailed to a creditor or collection agency to provide proof the the debit is paid or has been cleared up. I have a few items on my account that say charge off with Zero balance but it does not appear under closed accounts. I called them to check on it and they said that the account has been settled and that I do no owe anymore on this account...(from 2001) Thanks.

I just have to post that these people are hilarious!! The same guy calls leaving me messages- one time he'll say he's from loanpoint, the next time it'll be some "law offices", then he's with loanpoint again etc. Calls from the same #, same guy, gives me the same # to call back. Now he tells me he has some "grivance" thats been filed against me on his desk or something like that which I'm sure is supposed to sound really scary!! LOL I am email these jokers at least twice a day with C & D which they ignore.

I tried to see if my loans (Ameriloan, Eastside, PDL Loan Center, GFSIL, VCF Inc.) in texas but none of names came up. How can I get MAKE SURE they aren't legal in case registered licensed by different name? I know they have to be licensed in TX to be legal. Want to make sure I have all my ducks in a row......

I have received e-mails from these people and I'm wondering if they're on the up-and-up. Their "Agreement" talks about helping me SAVE money -- like I have any in the first place -- but does not promise to deal with creditors, nor does it promise that I won't be sued for the money I owe anyway.
