I have a credit card for students thru Bank of America. Without telling me, they sold me account to FIA card services. I lost my job, i informed FIA once they started calling me that I would send them what I could. The lady told me even if I send in 11 dollars a month, everything would be fine. I sent them 30 dollars, which I had to bum loose change off of everyone I know just to do that.

So after racking up about $14k in credit card debt I signed up with Superior Debt Services and am in the process of getting everything fixed. Right now I'm not too concerned with my credit scores or anything, but am most worried about a lawsuit while in the program..since it'll be a good 6-8 months before the first account is settled (of three total). SDS claims that lawsuits are "rare", but how rare is rare--and in what instances are they taken in?

I am about to enter debt management in the next few days with Superior Debt Relief. I am wondering if I should get a Go Phone at Radio Shack and call all my creditors and change my home number to this. Then I could unlist my current phone number. Has anyone tried this? I want to avoid the 4 calls a day prior to starting. I am current on my bills now so they are not calling. But they soon will be. Any thoughts? Connie

What if anything can be done through your bank beyond thier 60 day dispute process for the illegal ACH debits that illegal PDL companies may have taken from your account. After researching this forum, I ordered copies of my bank statements for the time period that I took out several PDL's. In doing the numbers discoverd that I had overpaid the principle due to the numerous debits they had made. The bank said I can only dispute before 60 days is up. Ideas????

Hello I have family: Me, my Mom and brother, we all have credit cards debts I want to consolidate all credit cards from 3 persons to one person. I mean I want to use only one SS# but I want to reduce debts for 3 person. Please let me know how can I do this?

I'm supposed to appear in court in early June to deal with Hunt and Henriques law firm. They represent Citicard and they have been unwilling to negotiate a payment plan. Should I request Debt Validation before the court date or should I request Debt Validation AT the court hearing???

LVNV has reported 3 different accounts on my credit report. I have sent them 3 request to validate debt and they failed to respond. Disputed debt with all three CRA with certified mail receipts and all but equifax deleted. Equifax refuses to delete and said that as long as LVNV verifies my name and social then it is considered valid. Help!

My bank will close my account soon because it is so overdrafted. Do I include that debt in my Chapter 13 and does it make any difference at all if your account is closed or open for any type of debt when filing bankruptcy?

Do the letters available within this website work? Have they worked for people here? If so I'd like to hear the stories.. I don't have a problem making a settlement with my creditors but I need them to say "paid in full". My goal is to buy a house by the end of this year. Thanks! Kelly
