Has anyone heard of CuraDebt and Other Questions

1)Trying to decide if our best move is to DIY with CC's and a couple of CA's or to work with a debt management company. I saw Greenpath mentioned in a thread here and have been in touch with a company called CuraDebt. Is anyone familiar with them? Their program looks okay but one thing that I wonder about is the requirement to open a bank account solely for depositing the payments they will make for us. 2)I got a phone offer from Sears MC to lower interest to 0% with no more late fees or penalties but they want access to my checking account every month for automatic payments.

Creditor notification

does a creditor need to notify you before they place a TL on your credit report?

Hey everyone!

Stopping in to say hi! Hopefully soon, I can come back and help out around here again. I miss everyone. :) Life has taken a crazy turn in the last 9 months. I am expecting my first child. I'm due in exactly 30 days, but I would be surprised if I last that long. I've been in the hospital twice for preterm labor. My goal is to make it through today, as it is my baby shower in about 2.5 hours. :) After that, all bets are off, and the child is welcome to make his appearance. LOL I'm having a boy. His name is Anthony. :D

Central Credit Services, Inc.

Does any one know anything about this company? Just wondering what they are like to deal with? Also I had another quick question, I have seen a few post on here that say something about 3rd party collectors, what are they and how do you know if you have one trying to collect a debt? Thanks.

Can Debt consolidation hurt you?

I have a little over 5k credit card debt, but maintain a high credit score, above 700. Will consolidating all my payments into one, cause my credit score to plumet? Is it wise to pay them all off with a loan or just one by one.

Civil Summons from Debt Collector has something odd on it...

My mother received a civil summons in the mail for an account with Gateway/Citibank. I paid on the account after my father died, who is the person who opened the account, until 2 years ago when I couldn't afford it anymore. The odd thing is that they have my mother's name listed with her first name, middle initial, and last name, and then "AKA" and my deceased father's name, middle initial, and last name. From the time this account was open until I could no longer afford to pay it (and they wouldn't negotiate a lower APR or put the account in my name), my mother never charged one thing.

I filed a dispute against ASSest Exceptance ill Management

I reported ASSest to the credit bureau for trying to collect a debt that is not mine. Also, ACC has no license to collect in my state. I hope this JDB doesn't try to sue me, now. I should be suing them.

Pay Day Loan Repeated Hell

I live in Florida & I need help on pay day loan info. I've read many of these strings & have found great hope in them. I am ready to do whatever it takes because my PDL mistakes are killing us. We have already had a vehicle repossessed due to falling so far behind in payments. I know how stupid this all has been & probably no one else has been as stupid but health issues caused financial distress & had no where else to turn. Several PDL's with repeats on many of them so I hope I make sense in the way I write this out.

Garnishment

Just joined in and need to know how to get started. Recieved notice in mail to call about outstanding debt from a car loan that was repo about 4yrs ago. Debt was less than 3000 owed. They now want 16000 and when I spoke to the rep she told me that I would recieve notice in the mail from a lawyer. How do I prevent garnishment and not have to pay the rediculous amount that they are asking?
