I got a call from a collection agency at my work today. She tried to be nice to me before she let me know what she was calling about. I told her not call me at my work place and hung up the phone. She then proceeded to call my work number 5x back-to-back. I let the calls go to voice mail but she never left a message. Once I tell them to stop calling my job, aren't they required stop the calls???
I got a call it was 866-964-8194 x710.
They said it was from a payday loan in 2006. They said they are filing with my county and including my employer since I took the loan online with my work computer.
They said they are going to file a worthless check and fraud against me and are going to involve my place of employment.
They want to talk to my lawyer. Um I don't have one.
This is for a 300 loan and I believe it was paid. I asked for them to send me some documentation and they wouldn't.
They also said they sent things to my bank.
Is this real? Has anyone else heard of this?

I just wanted people to know I have a really bad toothache.
I am in a lot of pain. I have been trying to keep up with posts in the PDL forum but I don't think I can anymore today.
I have an emergency appt. at 8:15 tomorrow morning at the dentist. I think it may be another abcess. It hurts a lot and I am keeping ice on my face which helps a bit.
I may be out a couple days because I can not really concentrate on anything.
I am afriad as I am scared of the dentist. I am crying all the time just dreading it. Some are afarid of spiders I am afraid of the dentist.
I just noticed that there are a few accounts on my credit report that have been closed for years that are still showing up as open. If I contact the CRA to tell them that they should be closed, will this affect my credit?
Does the deposit amount (credit line) matter in when opening a secured creit card? I guess I mean, will a larger deposit be more beneficial to me while trying to build my credit?
I just received a call from Ashley Randolph who stated she was with Accounts Receivable Management. She must be a very unhappy woman with the tone she spoke to me in. I was just nice to her & that seemed to rile her more. She gave me a call back # of 866-679-4046 regarding a payday loan balance she is collecting on for PayCheck Today. Does anyone have a contact address for me to send / fax a cease & desist letter?
I got a call last night around 2 a.m. from a wierd number with a bunch of symbols following it like a star, exclamation point, etc.? Is this a CA spoofing like our US National Bank friends? I have never seen symbols come up on the caller id.
How do I know if 247 advances is legal in the state of Louisiana? They have called me and told me the only way to pay it off would be by ACH. I told them that i closed my account and would not give my checking information out online or over the phone. They said that i would be placed in collections forever and possible legal action. The loan was for $200 and i have made 5 payments of $74 for a total of $370.
Has anybody actually obtained a PIF from Pay Day Max ( Credit Protection Depot)??
I had a 500$ loan and ended up paying 1285$ in principal and fees which means they would owe me 785$.
I got another loan for 700$ and so far I payed 260$.
Do you think I could ask them for a PIF since I overpaid the first loan by 785$??
