What should i do?

17 years 1 month ago
My husband and I have 25,000 in credit card debt. The minimum payments keep creeping up and I am getting laid off in a month. We don't know what to do...Has anyone been in this situation? What should I do? I have been talking to debt settlement companies but after doing research online...it kind of scares me a bit. Advice?

In regards to paying off PDLs...........

17 years 1 month ago
There is so much information on therse forums on PDL's. What paper work to send? What to do with your bank acoount? Is the PDL legal or not? ETC ETC ETC.... I love this website, gave me lots of insight on what to do now that I got myself into the mess I did. But where are the stories of people who actually won this battle? People who either consolidated their PDL's or worked their butts off to pay them off never to apply for another again? WHERE ARE YOU PEOPLE? I WANT TO HERE HOW YOU DID IT AND HOW IT FEELS TO HAVE FREEDOM FROM THIS NIGHTMARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Frustrated

Hi Everyone. I have sent out CD letters to all of my online PDL's as well as debt validation letters. All have been overpaid of course and I really don't expect any of them to give me a refund. Here's the deal though. I asked for PIF's, and for the ones that I still owe some money for the principle I told them I am willing to pay as long as they send me their address. I have not heard from any of them. Not a peep. I have emailed them each 4-5 times and have copies of all the emails I have sent. What do you suggest I do now.

TheCreditCardSolution.com

The Credit Card Solution offer nothing of value, they are not lawyers or paralegals, they do not know the law even though that moron Bob Lindsey talks in his Internet videos like he actually knows the system.......he is a two bit marketing hustler. The credit card solution lies on their website, they have not helped 6000 people and they have not eliminated $150 million in cc debt....those are BIG fat lies!

summons

17 years 1 month ago
so CACH LLC has filed a summons against me(not husband)for a credit card debt I find this out by going on to the court website I called the court today and she told me I can come in and file my answer even though I have not been served yet. I have never received or talked to this agency as of yet. Should I drive the to court and check it out or wait for the summons. Also, may I ask, I am unemployed as of last week can they take my husband's wages? Thanks for any response - much appreciated. WOW talk about stress!!!

wage garnishment

17 years 1 month ago
I currently have a wage garnishment and for about 2-2 1/2 months only $50 per paycheck ($100) per month was deducted from my paycheck. However, my most recent paycheck had $210 deducted from my net pay of $761. I'm thoroughly confused about the increase and was wondering about what could have possibly happened to cause the increase. I'm just looking for any information I can get before I start making phone calls about this. This change in deduction makes it extremely difficult, impossible in fact, to cover my monthly living expenses.

How do I know if they can sue?

17 years 1 month ago
I keep seeing that collections agencies can't threaten to sue if they don't intend to follow through. I've also seen a few people reporting that different agencies CANNOT sue. How would I go about finding this out? I have a couple of different agencies going after me, one through a law firm (rent-a-lawyer). This is for medical debt that I have disputed with the original creditor. It went through another collection agency first, and now is with the law office.
