We received a summons yesterday from Frederick Hanna suing in behalf of Amex. I sent my validation letter on the 30th day (postmarked) the date on the summons was on the 24th of March 30 days after they first made contact with my by mail. My question is can a law suit be filed before the validation has been done? I called the agency and she said that my letter has not been processed yet as they get thousands of letter daily. Thanks

Providian reports an date ( last payment 30 days late incorrect )on my credit report. This extends the SOL. Providian also reports that they sold the debt. Can I contact Providian? I don't think I can. They were bought out by a company that was recently bought out by another company. Which company might any documents on this old debt?

Zwicker is telling me that American express won't go below 55% - no way, no how. Also -- one of their people told me last month they were filing papers TODAY (as I said, last month). I'm wondering if they'll go down, I'm also wondering if I write to AMX saying that they are trying to collect my lying (which would be illegal) if they would give me a better deal. Anybody have any ideas for me? --- oh, and NO, I'm not going to use a settlement company, they are a waste of money. so, those of you that only reply to get business, you need not waste your time.

Original foreclosure 'Deed under Power' recorded April 2008. 'Affadavit In Support of Title' recorded Jan 2009, asserts clerical error in the name of the subdivision. "Corrective" deed re-recorded March 2009. My credit card company saw this as a new foreclosure and closed my account. I was then denied credit with another company. All three CRAs show the March 2009 date. I'd originally planned to go the DV letter-dispute route. But since there's a verifiable error, and it appears some actual harm under FCRA, is there a better way to handle this?

I received a letter in the mail on AMEX letter head. It is a 60% offer letter that states you must call 877-354-8148 to accept. I get calls several times a day that states to call this number as well. I never get through to a live person and have left many messages. I did some research and found out that the PO Box belongs to a geological company and the phone number to Nationwide Credit Services. This is so deceptive. I've decided not to deal with them since I now do not trust them and have written an offer letter directly to AMEX. Below is the letter I've written.

I sent a debt validation request to 2 CA's via certified mail, (Complete Credit Solutions and National Credit Soultions) about amonth ago and still havent heard anything from them. What do i do next? Does this mean they are unable to validate the debt and now i should dispute with the CB's? HELPPPPPPP!!! We need these off reports ASAP so we can buy first home!!

Ok, I have one PDL that has been very cooperative in working with me on a repayment plan, minus all the illegal fees. I have 2 more to go. I closed my account and emailed/faxed my letters. So, Loan Point USA responded to my email today by saying due to the nature of my email I need to call their toll free number. I responded back by saying all communication will be via mail or email. Their next response was basically "How can we assist you?" I stated please re-read the email I previously sent on April 4 2009 regarding my repayment proposal.

I am receiving calls from a 605 Area Code (PHX, AZ) in regards to a debt saying to call the 1-800-661-0086 Found from another thread: " 800-661-0086 is associated with Primary Financial Services LLC 3115 N. 3rd Avenue #112 Phoenix, AZ 85013" They have been calling my cell phone for a day or two now.

I have some private student loans through sallie mae. They offer diff repayment options to lower the payment but I dont fit into any of them they said. Is there a way to have Sallie Mae reconstruct my monthly payments to make it something I can afford each month? An income contingent plan?
