I found on my credit reoprt a collection agency that has an old utility bill ($125 dollar gas bill) of mine from 2005. No one has ever tried to collect this money from me. (it is out of sol anyway right?) If I just pay it, do I still have to wait until 2012 for this to fall off!?

I have read here several times that people have found out about lawsuits against them that they were never notified about, how can I go about seeing if I'm listed with anything? I've done several payday loans and have had old credit card debit come back to haunt me...I need to see where I should start rolling heads :D . Hope someone can help me soon! My car is worth about $5,000, so I don't know if it would be to my advantage to sell it prior to filing chap 7. Will they know if I had a car and sold it? Sorry, just so confused about what to do.

My husband and I were in a car accident a few years ago, which racked up come medical bills that we were aware of, but our lawyer told us that they were being sent to the at-fault driver's insurance company. Well, his insurance company never paid those bills when they were due and they were sent to collection agencies.

How do I check my filing with the FTC on payday loans? I have the case number, but searched their website and am not sure how to check, or do they contact me after some kind of conclusion has been made? I haven't heard from the payday companies. (or at least I don't think I have, I may just be ignoring their phone calls)

if you have a debt of $4400 and you offer them 1500 to settle and they accept . Can they come after you later down the road for the rest. Is their something I should ask for to guarentee that they dont come after me once they accept the offer

Hello, I currently have $15,000 in credit card debt ($5k on 3 different cards). The interest rates are 10%, 11%, and 27% due to a couple late payments that I irresponsibly cared for. I'm about to graduate college and will be working. I've read extensively on what I need to be doing in terms of budgeting but I'm having a really hard, stressful time dealing with everything. What do you guys recommend for me to do now? My priority is to get out of that 27% interest rate card. REDICULOUS!!!!! Please help.

I was planning to close my checking account today, but I have a $20 check that hasn't cleared yet. My PDL's are all due on Thursday. If I don't close it today, I can't get my ACH revoke letters out in order to give a 3 day notice. What should I do??

i live in PA and have 4 pdls with Cashnetusa, Magnumcashadvance, Loanpointusa and finally paydaymax.com. I met with an attorney yesterday and am filing chap 13 bankruptcy My question is this - I have revoked all ACH privaleges at my bank so that they cannot debit the account. Do I need to send them a letter and how do I know if I have wage assignment (these were all done online). My attorney told me that they cannot garnish wages in PA. Also can they make my references pay what is owed ? Also if anyone know the mailing address of paydaymax.com that would be most helpful
