Investigation into Debt Collectors.

I just got off the phone with a manage at BofA. Have been trying to get a settlement offer that I can afford. Last week it was 35% and tonight it was 25% in which half was due up front and then the remainder due in 3 installments. I explained that I had the $3250 but there isn't an extra $1100 in my paycheck each month for the remaining installments.

Sorry but I forgot we also renewed a loan we had with PayCheck Today for $300.00. Stupid because we had it paid off. Anyway, with the last $300.00 we paid more than enough in their "interest" to cover the previous loan, this new one and then some. Same question as last time, what is our obligation to them at this point ? Can we use the interest paid on the previous loan as payment for this one ? We are in MA and they're illegal. Thanks !

I was never served my papers in person. I was sued by Kramer and Frank for $1300 roughly. They sent the papers to my old address and I looked online at the docket when I received a solicitation from another lawfirm that was trying to sell me their services in bankruptcy. On the docket it specifically states 'Papers Served in Person on Xx/Xx/2008'. I never knew about the court date, nor that I was being sued, until I received the solicitation mail. By this time I already had a judgement against me. Do I have grounds to petition the courts? Those papers were never ever served to me.

I currently have 4 online payday loans in the state of Kentucky. A few days ago I spoke with a credit professional with Careone credit and am in the process of consolidating my debt including my payday loans. I still have a lot of questions concerning all of this and will be speaking with my careone rep on tuesday to work all the final stuff out. But after doing some research this week and speaking with several people such as the attorney general and a compliance branch manager I found out that online internet payday loans are illegal in the state of Kentucky.

We foolishly (once again) renewed a loan we had with Cash Transfer Centers. As I'm sure many of you know Cash Transfer Centers makes you pay it back all at once plus their "interest". We borrowed $550 from them. The thing is we've renewed this loan many, many times over so I know they've received their money back and then some. We are in Massachusetts so I know they're illegal. They will attempt to debit our account on Tuesday (3/31) but it has been "blocked" by the Bank Manager. The account will be closed on Tuesday as well.

Me and my fiance would like to purchase a home my mid is 529 his is 540 we make a good amount of money. we havent had any bad debt in the past 2 yrs and we've paid off some more debt recently and our scores need to be updated will anyone do a fha loan with this scenario. I've talk to a number of mortgage brokers and I get mixed ans.

I am in Chapt 13 do I have to pay taxes from my 1099c?

Does anyone have an email address for these people? How do I verify who they are?

There is going to be a special on Dateline NBC tonight on debt collectors. I just thought it might be of some interest to us! I know I will be watching. 10pm (9 central)
