do anyone know who this is they have an indian accent and it sounds like they are on a cell phone

I noticed on my TU report that there are 4 seperate entries for Cavalry Portfolio svcs (each with a slightly different account number. All 4 say, Loan type: Return check; Remark: Placed for collection 08/2003; Original Bal and OC is the same for all 4. Also the same is the estimated date that item will be removed: 07/2010. Cavalry has never contacted me about these checks and I don't remember writing them. I am afraid to call CA and ask them. (CA's have proven to me not to be trustworthy.) Should I just dispute them online and see what happens?

Now my brother-in-law has this "issue". He told me that he took out a motorcycle loan for 4k back mid 2000. he made payments up until mid 2002, he still has the motorcycle. He said that they never tried to repo it and that the OC already charged off the debt. On his credit report it has Midland Credit for the collector and under type of account it say "open". What can he do to keep this from getting repo'ed and letting it fall off of his credit report this summer? I told him NOT to contact MCM due to all of the things that I have read on here. So I have no advise for him.

couple of questions: does anyone have an email address for PaydayMax, all I have is a fax number. Also looking for an address. Last question- I can't close my account because its too late to cancel my direct deposit and also somehow one of these PDL's reported me to Telechex so I can't open a new acct. I sent letters Revoking my ACH to all the illegals and my two legals DID cancel my ACH. I have gotten no response from the illegal PDL's other than generic responses. What else can I do. I get paid this Friday and all my PDL payments are suppose to come out this friday, any suggestions??

I have been on a DMP for a while now and it's going fine. My question was in the coming months, in an effort to boost my credit, I was thinking of getting a $200 limit credit card and using it to pay my phone bill and paying the CC every month. I feel pretty comfortable doing this. Also later this year I was hoping to get a car. But I'm waiting to see how that goes. My DMP had said before that opening new credit was allowed. But my question is will the creditors kick me off for doing this.

I just got another copy of my credit report online. It looks nothing like the the copy that the CA gave me. Does anyone know why? Do CA's just get a brief summary of all of the accounts? I want to be able to obtain the exact same copy as the CA would of my TU report. Anyone know how to do this? Only reason I ask is because I feel that the CA copy has been altered.

Has anyone had experience with these companies in regard to them honoring a revocation of an ACH withdrawal? They are both legal companies and I hope they would do so.

First, thank you, thank you, thank you ALL! I am in Missouri. I have a PDL with Payday Loan Yes for $350.00. I have paid them $680.00 which, according to this website, is an overpayment of $330.00 because they are illegal. I want to doublecheck with all of you to make sure I do this properly. First, I need to contact my bank and either close the account or put a hard block on this ACH debit. Then, I need to contact PDL Yes, in writing, notifying them that I am dishonoring the ACH, that I am revoking my wage assignment, and that I am requesting a refund of $330.

This is not asking for advice but a story that may help others. I had a debt with Sears for $1300 that I fell behind on. I was hospitalized last fall and my husband took a call from citibank demanding payment. He arranged 2 payments to pay it off with a settlement. (he is on the card too so they could talk to him.) About 2 months later we got a letter from LVNV saying they now "own" the debt and we must pay it ASAP. My husband called Citibank AND Sears and they both said that the debt was paid off and not to worry.

Question. I am currently overdrawn 1,200 in my account due to PDL NSF fees. The madness finally stopped and so now I am going to make an arragement with the bank to pay fees off and close this account. I don't want it to go to checksystems so that is one of the main reasons I am making these payments. Now I am highly considering bankruptcy. I know I can add overdraft fees to chap 7. Once I file, do I still have to pay these NSF fees or will it be forgiven? Again my main concern is I do not want account to go to checksystems.
