I GET THREATENED THE FIRST TIME FOR A CHECK N GO THAT IS WELL OVER 2 YEARS OLD. I TELL THEM THEY HAVE BEEN PAID, THEY TELL ME NO WAY IS IT PAID AND WE ARE GOING TO ISSUE A WARRANT FOR YOUR ARREST IF YOU DON'T PAY WHAT YOU OWE. I SAID OK WHAT DO I OWE YOU? HE SAYS 2,280.00. OK SO I SAID GIVE ME THE NAME OF YOUR COMPANY THEN THE ADDRESS. I IN TURN ASKED DO YOU DO PAYMENT ARRAIGNMENTS. HE SAYS TO ME NO, BUT WE COULD AND THEN HE SAYS HOLD ON...COMES BACK AND SAYS WE CAN BREAK THAT IN HALF IF YOU GO TO WALMART OR WHEREVER AND GET A PRE PAID VISA CARD.

I have a question. I was in a chapter 13, 5 year repayment plan. I made it all the way up to a little over 4 years, before I got laid off. Then, it was dismissed with about 4-6 payments remaining. Well, none of the creditors contacted me, but I started contacting everyone to find out my balances. My car finance company had a balance of $5000, which was interest that they were entitled to, since my BK wasn't completed. Well, I started paying because I wanted to repair my credit. Well, since then, I was laid off again, and now they're calling.

I go to my creditors meeting nest week. I have not done my taxes for last year but when I do I may have a small refund. Will I have to sho a tx filing at the credtors meeting? Do they access my records to see my refund if I have one? I was going to file after the crediors meeting. I filed pros se and it was very easy by the way. Cosyt me less than $100 foir the software.;

Hi all I have been entered into a debt counciling program for over a year now and have reduced my amount owed to creditiors to around 17k,but I have lost alot of hours at work and now the weekly payment they take from me are making me fall behind on other bills such as house,car and everyday expenses and all they really have done is reduced my % rate,I still have to pay back the entire amount..I was thinking of signing on with a settlement co.

Despite repeated notifications to MRS Assocs that the person they are trying to reach is unknown to us, they keep calling. Each time they promise the calls will stop, but within 2 weeks they begin again. We've had our number for 6+ years; obviously the person who had it before was a deadbeat, but MRS should stop calling when told to do so.

I am looking for a company who helped you consolidate your debt and you where happy with the out come...

does a car payment count as debt?

Hey everyone, which one did any of you use? I found InCharge Education Foundation seems to be the cheapest. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I have paid $975 to SSM Group on a $250 loan. I have tried to contact them and they haven't responded. I closed my account last week so they couldn't debit it. My question is, has anyone reached these guys and has anyone got them to settle? I reported them to the FTC and BBB. Does taht work to tell them they have been reported and that all you want is a PIF. (I live in MN and I know they are illegal.)

this company will only tell me that they are account auditing out of NY and their number is 1-866-221-1698. They refuse to give me their address. I want their info so that i can send out a letter requesting debt validation. They refuse. Also are calling my wife's place of employment 2wice a day even though they were told not to. My wife was given this man's direct line. I guess his name is John reece, if i am spelling it right and his number is (716)508-8217 . Does someone know who this is? Please help. I want to send a certified letter requesting debt validation.
