I was just served papers to appear in court for failure to repay check city. They are not licensed in Kansas.I informed them of this and offered a settlement.how can they legally take me to court if they are not legal in Kansas?

I recently went through a snowball effect of life events that have put me in payday loan hell. I have every intention of paying them back but it needs to be on terms that I can manage. How can I do this and which is the best option for me. I understand this will effect my credit, so what is the least effecting? I want to avoid being sued or wage garnishments. I have 8 payday loans, I live in California and I closed my bank account already.

I live in PA. I am requesting written confirmation of an internet payday loan. A company callef Landmark Legal is threatening to have me arrested unless I pay them.

Hello Guys, Over the past month I've taken out a total of 3 installment loans and 6 payday loans because my boyfriend lost his job and we're on one income now and we needed the money at the time. They are absolutely killing me and now my mortgage payment is going to be very late because they're taking most of my paycheck. I have copies of all loan agreements and they show an interest rate usually upwards of 600%. I live in NJ and read on this forum that I am not obligated to pay these crazy interest rates.

Ameriloan- Borrowed: $400; Paid: $1,130; Balance: $325 United Cash Loans- Borrowed: $350; Paid: $710; Balance: $390 Okay I've been researching this, and I'm not sure where to start. I called my bank and had them stop the payments. They asked if I wanted to file a complaint against them if I thought they took too much money out of my account, I told them not yet. I tried UCL and they were closed due to inclement weather. Then I tried calling Ameriloan, and they too, (shocking I know) were also closed due to inclement weather.

I cant believe it! I stopped payment on VIP cash since I overpaid, sent the ACH revocation & told them that I had overpaid my principal and that I would expect a refund. I just got an email with a letter & copy of a refund check for $333 that is being mailed to me today! Thank you all so much... one down, 4 to go.

Got a call on 2 of my phones from this company leaving message to let me know that I have 2 cases against me for fraud. I call back 702-534-6084 and talk to the "legal" person that tells me that they are charging me with fraud for taking a loan in 2010, and then closing the account (?!?). They wouldn't give me any details other that they have my social, my address and email... and that how they verified that was me.

I have a payday loan from a company in Las Vegas. I regularly paid my loan on time since it was automatically deducted from my checking account. The company in which I worked closed it's doors on December 31, 2012. I am struggling to pay off my loans. How can I get out of this since I have NO income as of now. Still looking for a job. My unemployment, that I'm getting does not cover my expenses. PLEASE HELP!
