I need to tell you all how embarrased I am for having to post that desparate plea for help in the pub, but the fact of the matter is, I have found myself in the worst spot I can ever remember being in. I am out of work and so is my wife and only I am eleigible for unemployment. I need my car to look for a job but without insurance I am screwed. The car can only go for about fifteen minutes before it overheats also but I can't get it fixed right now. I have been working on a couple of internet projects but they take time to get off the ground.

Hey all! It is extremely difficult for me to ask this but I have found myself caught in a desparate bind. I need to pay the $200 premium on my car insurance on Monday, along with the rent, or I will be cancelled permanently with little hope of getting a new policy due to my poor credit and the fact that I am unemployed. As some of you know, I was laid off back in November without any severance and lost my healthcare.

I am just doing research on how to deal with Sears or LVNV, the collection agency they sold it to. Could you give me any ideas on how to deal with them or why you find them difficult to deal with. Sears scares me. They are absolutely crazy about getting paid back. So I guess LVNV must be aggressive. Help- need advice. I just negotiated my Capital one card for 1/2 the bill. The rep was really nice and I hope I talk to her again someday! I negotiated settlements for both my husband and I. I paid 50% of my charged off card and I paid 60 of his charged off bill.

In December 2008 I took a payday loan out from Ace Cash Express in Houston, Texas in the amount of $1100 and ran into a situation where I was unable to pay the debt and put a stop payment on any drafts from that company. Today I received a phone call from them and was informed that they would contact my employer and inform them of my debt they would file and civil suit, take my paycheck and I would go to jail if I don't pay this debt.

I got a plantiff from district court and Amex sued me for CC Debt. Total is $13,500 and I'd like to settle this before court settle. Now I have good income and can pay monthly if they allow me. I have no loan for home and car. Thanks and let me know the way to settle my case before the court. The court judge will be middle of next month. Thanks for your help.

How do I tell if my loan from sallie mae is federal or private. under loan info it says unsubsidized...Thats pretty much it

I have an outstanding loan with Cash Transfer Center, Per suggestions made in this forum, I sent them a "Cease and Desist" letter, after closing my checking account, and rescinded my wage assisgnment clause etc. etc. CTC is not a legal lender in California. Portfolio Recovery called me last week, claiming that they were collecting on an Ikea loan. I have never had a loan with Ikea. I told them that they needed to send me a debt validation, but what they sent me in the mail is a form (which they want notorized) That says Identity Theft Affidavit. Along with a letter that states that I am required to send them this form so they can investigate my claim that this is not my debt. I am a little leary of sending them this, as I am not claiming I have been a victim of identity theft. Am I required to send them this form, or what should I do.
